I'm more of a Puppy Bowl fan myself.
Someone wrote a letter to my local paper today asking why it was Super Bowl XLIX and not Super Bowl IL. Now I'm wondering the same thing.

Bill Tomsa, you said "Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man. Friedrich Nietzsche GO PATS!"
And Nietzsche was and is correct, unless, you consider this, "Strong hope is a much greater stimulant of life than any single realized joy could be."

I'll be rooting for this ad for Avocados from Mexico to take Best Ad from Superbowl 2015.

The Pat's needs to go away, I was a Pat's fan for a long time and we need something new next year. Maybe the Detroit Lions!

ED,
thats' cuz the city streets were flowing with beer.
I have NEVER seen so many passed out drunks at 10 a.m. in my life. And those left standing were wandering the streets screaming all night.
Is superbowl just an excuse to go out of town and get so drunk you miss the game?
They said is was a good super-bowl. I usually just want to see the marketing bowl, which is pretty easy to find online.
What is the most likely, easiest, cheap way to watch the game, now that it's over?
Can folks make off-the air DVD's of things they see at home?
This used to be no problem in the days of VHS, etc.
Now, I wonder if there is any "portable" way to record a game off the air?

Bill,
The Pats only got as lucky as the Seahawks got unlucky for one small moment.
If your going to place your ego on that entire small moment good luck.
hate? no. No need.

Usually when a team wins on a "luck play," they have put themselves in a position to get that luck play by making good plays through the game. Two weeks ago, the Seahawks got lucky and came from behind against the Pack. Only they held thePack to FGs instead of TDs a few times to keep the score close. Last night, the Pats got a fluke INT to win the game. But the offense dominated the Hawks defense in the 4th quarter or else the Pats would not have had the lead at the time. Don't forget the fluke catch to even put the Hawks in the red zone. They won that game fair and square. Can't hold it against the Patriots that Pete Carrol made a boneheaded call.
And that Malcolm Butler kid's post game interviews were awesome. I wish I had the transcript. He basically just said he did what he was paid to do, play pass defense.

Glad the patriots won. Sick and tired of the arrogant, loud-mouthed seahawk fans, the 12th player, the legion of boom, the skittles, and the rest of the infantile, childish, immature BS.
The loss put them in their place and there they will have to stay for a year.
Perhaps this will crush their over-inflated egos and shut their loud mouths for a while.

@ Marlene- thanks for the heads up duhhh! At least no one else noticed....LOL
@ David- and I guess the catch on the 5 yard line was a planned play expertly executed.....read Joseph H. He's got it right
@ Joseph- Thank you!

I enjoyed the Super Bowl, it was a hard fought battle between both teams. It was a lot more intense than last years Super Bowl for sure! I'm disappointed yes but I don't hate the Pats, the idea that you have to hate the opposing team is childish to say the least! To spew hatred toward one another over a "game" is childish to say the least!
@ Dan, We Seahawk fans are loud & proud and sorry to tell you we are not going away. I enjoy my Seahawks, the quiet ones..the loud ones, the legion of boom & I really enjoyed a handful of skittles last night :) Such is the privilege of being a fan of "your" team whoever it may be! Haters will be haters and they can swim in their own hate...it only serves to depress themselves.
*looking forward to the fall of 2015...can't wait :)

God knows why Seattle threw instead of ran but Butler's interception was amazing- it was a pure force of will. I almost feel bad for the intended Seattle receiver that got piledrived into the ground rather than catching the football for the Superbowl winning touchdown.
Go Pats!

Toby, that was an amazing catch/interception by Butler. He will go down in history for saving the game for the Pats. Game well played!

@Toby McGuire
"God knows why Seattle threw instead of ran but Butler's interception was amazing- it was a pure force of will."
When I saw the replays of that interception by Butler it transported me back a half century to when I played high school football. No we didn't wear leather helmets..real plastic! Fifty years ago our coach use to tell us that when a receiver and defensive back go up for a pass, "the one who wants that ball the most will be the one who comes down with it." No doubt in my mind Butler wanted it the most. How true coach. How true.
Once again I will commend the Hawks on a well played game and I certainly don't think all Hawks fans are "haters". It is usually accepted that "the 10%" can spoil it for the other 90% so my hat's off to the 90% of you for being good sports and I thank you.

The Seahawks 7 points in 4 seconds at the end of the first half was pretty slammin'. And NBC had some great bumper shots of Sedona and the Grand Canyon.
I hadn't intended to watch this year, but NBC.com streamed it live. I was working on a website so, you know, I was right there anyway. May as well take a peek. Guess what? There were NO COMMERCIALS. No scrolling banner ads, no crawls, no promos, no come-ons of any kind. Just the live game and halftime. That blew me away.

Got to admit it, Dan, when I saw shots of Sedona and other places, it made me feel a bit (?) homesick for AZ. GO CARDS! Our "other" team.

Re:.."God knows why Seattle threw instead of ran"
Well He might know...But there are Earthlings that believe they know why.
As I commented earlier
NFL did Not want to have Lynch the hero of the game....Wilson would have been their choice.
The "I'm only here so I don't get fined" guy..maybe be refreshing, (he is to me)...but he would certainly would have been problematic holding the "Hero of the Day" award..
This is the second time I have heard the patently stupid conspiracy theory about the NFL not wanting Lynch to be the MVP. So what must have happened was the NFL got in touch with the Hawks coaching staff and told them NOT to use their best weapon to try to win the game. Roger, with all due respect, you need more tin foil! LOL
I believe Butler's vision was from the coaching staff who had told the D this was one of the Hawks moves when this close to scoring. First down is a run, second down is always a pass. Heard this one one of the talk radio shows. Give Butler credit for remembering his "vision."
"I just had a vision that I was going to make a big play," Butler said in a sideline interview with NBC immediately after the game, "and it came true. And I'm just blessed."

The latest news?
Seems Seahawks player Doug Baldwin in the end zone, in front of more than 100 millions viewers, decided to put on a show and mimic taking a crap.
So distasteful (and embarrassing) was his display that the network took cameras off him and the NFL is now considering a fine.
Yep. A class act, those Seahawks ! A real class act.

@Dan, if we let one person define who the whole is, then all humanity is in the crapper...
@Edward, I agree, very much adults acting like kids.
