Artciti Aims To Promote Pakistan

www.artciti.com, a brain child of 3 financial professionals, provides a great platform for artists of different experiences and interests in Pakistan to present their work. Unlike other Pakistan
galleries, I was able to find works of both renowned/well-known artists, as well as new local talent. The website has evolved over the last year where their look is now much more polished and professional. In February last year, they also caught the attention of www.artradar.com where art radar chose www.artciti.com as one of 6 new art websites that has the potential to define how art will be dealt with in the future! This is an impressive achievement!

www.articiti.com has held 7 artist specific exhibitions online in the last one year where they provided a 3D platform to view the paintings on display in a virtual gallery set up. It had options where one could walk through the virtual gallery and see the paintings from the distance one preferred (which I found to be very user friendly and exciting) or have the paintings presented in a slide show form. The quality of work presented by various artists is highly commendable. Be it the thought process gone into the painting, the use of medium, or the use of very vibrant colors. You can find a collage of work from miniatures to landscapes to figures in various dimensions.

I think what this website needs is more visibility online. They will have to work on this to make more people aware of this remarkable platform that offers such diverse collection. I was unable to search for them easily through a search engine. They must improve their visibility. All in all, it is a great effort to allow a window for both established and budding artists of the country to reach out to the world. It also is a great way to bring to attention other realities of Pakistan besides what is usually associated with the country.
