Faa Automatically Rotates My Images That Are Vertically Long?

Is there anyway to fix this? I want it to be viewed vertically, but the photo is being shifted 90 degrees right.

You must be uploading from a phone. That's the only circumstance I've ever heard where this happens.

No, I'm uploading from a lenovo laptop

How are they rotated on the lap top? You sometimes have to rotate and resave the verticals.

They are upright on the laptop, and I've already tried rotating sideways and then uploading them, but they just stay sideways, and rotate at all.

Your images all look fine now. May have to clear your cache to see it.

Open then save in your editing software

Thanks Mr. Findley. It worked, but it significantly decreased the size.

Ok, when you say size do you mean pixel count or file size.?

Also, what software are you using?

Have you been posting straight out of the camera?

File size, which I've learned limits the sizes I can sell. I don't have any software that I pay for, I haven't found any that I can afford that seem worth it for me. I usually just post straight out of the camera. If I edit, I use the simple software that my computer came with. I've also tried free editing software sites, but they lower my file size a lot more than my computer. For instance, if I edit a photo through my computer it only falls from 5 or 6 MB, to about 2 or 3 MB; if I use free software from the internet, it goes all the way down to below 1 MB.

All your images are correct in their orientation and are large. Not sure what you mean by "limits the sizes I can sell" as FAA only sells up to about 60x48 if the file size allows it.

108 x 48 Louise ;)

forget mb, that is not important. If sending from the phone to your computer then that may be shrinking the image pixelwise. But, saving the image in photo editors like GIMP (free and as good as PS) will not shrink the pixels unless you ask it to

File size will not limit the size you can sell on FAA in and of itself. IF decreasing the size decreases image quality it may.

I have a LOT of images on here that print fine at thethe largest size allowed that are 1 or 2 megs. Most of my files are under 6 meg.

Picassa from Google is free and not bad.

I use Corel Paint shop Pro. It is under 100. Soooooo much can be done with editing.

Example.

This is 2.6 megs has sold a few times at the max size i can list it

OK, then I guess it shrinks it's pixel size; I had a two photos I put through a free internet software, and I took them off because I realized the maximum size allowed to print was only 20" by 13". Thanks for recommending Corel Paint.
