Art Is Not Displayed.

I am new to the site and have been struggling for days to upload my art to my profile page. Apparently, I accidentally did something right and one image did appear, but not the others. I have followed directions "Behind the Scenes" and pressed Submit after I filled in the boxes,etc. Does none of this work on the weekend and I need to upload only during the week?

You don't have to go behind the scenes to upload. Go to your profile page and click on the tab that says images. You will see upload image.ake sure after uploading at the bottom of page click on submit!

Make sure you are logged in to FAA! It's working for me. Better to upload one at a time.

Jessica, Thanks for replying. I did all of that....signed in, clicked on images and uploaded only one image at a time. Was careful to press Submit at the bottom and received a message that it was successfully uploaded. I did that with about six images on Thursday, and none of them are appearing on my profile. I knew to wait for the 24-hour period they recommend, but it has now been two days. Since I did manage to upload one image successfully, I just repeated the same steps, but without success. Either I'm just not getting it or they are having issues on the site and if so, it would be helpful to have some message telling us that. I did notice others in the discussion group mentioning they were having problems, so maybe it isn't just me!

There is no wait time! I think others are having the same problem today, but others are uploading without any problems.Maybe certain browsers? You should clear your cache and try again!

That is somewhat comforting to know others may be having the same problem. I just tried again to enter something and it says it was accepted when I press Submit, but didn't see the art appear. Guess it is a wait-and-see situation.

Karen, I'm new to the site and haven't had any problems. Here are the steps based on my memory of what you need to do to load an image. First, I assume you have a profile page. Next, go to upload images tab. Click chose image. Go to your computer file and select the image and then click open in your computer file. That will get you almost there. If you've done those steps, you should see the size of the image on you FAA screen, then press load image on your FAA screen (the same screen that says choose). That's how I do it and I haven't had any problems. Good luck.

How long is it taking you to do an image?
Are you leaving the page at any time?

Karen, make sure you have ONLY one window of FAA open and not more.

Also, I would enter your default prices so you don't waste time filling in prices for each image. Go behind the scenes and you'll see default settings.

I'm new as well. I uploaded an image but it doesn't come up when I do a keyword search.

It takes a day or so for images to show in the search after uploading.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I have done everything that has been recommended....several times over. When I hit the SUBMIT button, I get the notice that my entry has been saved. I have default prices entered, I do not have other windows open, etc. etc. Have sent another request for help to Technical Dept, and still have not heard. Will try again, but am winding down on patience. It is almost not worth it at this point. I may just need to step back for a while, and try again later, but I appreciate other members suggestions.

Karen, What browser are you using? Are your images under 25 mb?

Jessica, I use Chrome as my browser and everything else works fine. My images have downloaded easily and quickly. Everything looks good and I carefully walk through all the suggested steps....but still no luck. I can only guess that there is some major step I am overlooking. I filled out the profile, etc. I guess I will go back over the instructions once again, and look at the background info they want. Won't give up just yet.

I MAY have discovered the problem.....I received an answer from Technical Support with suggestions. The only thing that I saw that was new, that I had not done, was to enter my Payment and Tax Information. So I completed that info and again entered my artwork. They told me it can take 24 hours before I see it, so tomorrow I'll see if this problem is finally solved! I do appreciate everyone holding my hand through this.

Never leave the page once the upload is started or at any point until you have press SUBMIT to save all descriptions and changes

I received and read your tutorial which is where I got the info about payment and tax info. I have always waited until the upload is complete and submit before leaving the page. So I am guessing the problem was that I didn't have the pay and tax info entered in.

I'm uploading OK today other than the stupid page kept telling me I had more than 500 characters in the keywords when I didn't.

No, Payment and Tax has nothing to do with uploading properly

There are no problems on the site so you are definitely missing a step somewhere or there is something wrong with an image

Please send me an image to check by replying to the support ticket and attaching the image as a file attachment

The images might take a day to show up in search, but you should see them in your gallery right away...there is no wait time on that.

Since I'm not seeing them, for some reason they are not going through. I keep getting the notice that they were saved and I assumed, accepted. Still don't know. I'll have to look again at my images and see if I can figure it out.

That's one thing that is driving me nuts. That one image, the rose, uploaded easily, but the dozen or so I have tried since then have not shown up at all. I am entering the info slowly and carefully and always hitting Submit. I immediately get the message that the changes have been accepted. The rose is 1.32 MB and all the other images have been under 2.0 MB with the exception of two, but they are under the limit. Again, I have re-entered a couple of images today...maybe I'll see them tomorrow.

There shouldn't be any message that changes have been accepted. After you click submit it will say: please wait and then you should see the image in your gallery.

I have been having exactly the same problems for a week. I also cannot edit the photos I have up - like replacing them with a new and improved photo. I'm getting very frustrated. I have set my computer to clear the cache every time I log out. I hope this gets figured out soon. I am using chrome and explorer.

I wonder if there's a problem with Chrome? Can you try with a different browser? Firefox?

It's not Chrome. I use that browser off and on and it's perfect with uploading. It's something else. Are you possibly going over the 500 character keyword limit, Karen?

Are the images you're uploading in a file format that is compatible with FAA, i.e. jpg or png?

All my images are lower MB than required, I stayed way under the 500 word limit, the images uploaded within 20 seconds and appeared on the screen with the boxes for me to fill in. I fill in the boxes, hit the default prices button, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit Submit. A message tells me it has been saved. Sounds good? But nothing shows up either that day or the next. I've been doing this over and over (trying different methods) for a week. This appears to be an unsolvable problem that no one can explain.

Karen, why are you hitting the default prices button? Don't do that! The prices should already be there. If the prices are not filled in then you have to go behind the scenes to default settings and fill in your prices there first! That will set your prices so you no longer have to fill in prices for each image

I Finally Did It! Oh my goodness....I knew it had to be some silly, simple thing and it was. Right before I read Jessica's suggestion I thought I'd try and see if maybe I should Not hit the default button each time I uploaded an image. Yep! That was the problem all along. Duhhhh. I do understand what "default" means, but still thought each time I uploaded an image I was supposed to press the default button and I guess when I did that it basically erased the image and information. So.....now, whenever I see someone else having a similar problem, I'll ask if they are doing the same thing. I suspect I'm not the only person to make that mistake. Really appreciate everyone making suggestions. Guess now I can get on with the process.
