This is only for people that don't mind having a little fun.
I have loaded 7 images into a Gallery called Art Test Number One. The password is 123456
http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/fasgallerycom.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=509465
Without cheating by using reverse image search, tell us which one is the Jackson Pollock painting.
That's it. That is all there is to it.
Please don't make any comments that will give hints or give away the answer if you think you may have right one.
And again, please do not use reverse image search. Anyone can cheat and get it right.

Not being a follower of Jackson Pollock - it's probably the one that doesn't look like he would have done it #7 - but instead I'll say it's #5.

Roy, it seems that you and I are the only ones that have a sense of humor. One comment out of 18 views! lol
I think the word 'test" has too many people worried about passing and failing.
No one can pass or fail. This is just a fund thing. If you bother to stop buy, cast a vote, have a little fun.

Maybe I need to post the link to the gallery. Remember the password is 123456

Roy! Did you look at revers image search?
If you did, shame on you... oh, wait you voted already. hahahaha
Don't give it away until we get a least a few more votes...
This is interesting. I think it is anyway.

Floyd - I've NEVER done a reverse image search - not even on my own work - and I'm not sure I know how. I did have art history in college and still have a few books laying around - somewhere.

My guess would be no. 6. Second guess might be no. 3, but between the two I'd guess 6.
I didn't read any posts except some of Roy's by accident, so as to have no clues or influence on it.

I'll take number 6. It's a little different enough to maybe be a Pollock. Not a fan, so I don't have his paintings memorized.....

I didn't see anything in the test rules that say,I can't choose none of the above, so just to be different, none of the above.

I'll post the answer in the morning.
It would be more fun if we had more votes.
I will tell you that there is more than guessing the right one. That is the fun part.

I have no clue which one it is. So I will say none of the above.
They are not the style he had over a three year period in his heyday.
Is the work after his first abstract expressionistic work?
I just dont see his work in there.
He had a lot of different styles well before his abstracts.

I am picturing myself on a beach. The water is warm. It is mid day, the sun is high in the sky.
The waves roll endlessly into land.
Did I just win Floyd's prize for this contest?

Mario, what do you know?

I just saw the movie about Jackson Pollock on TV and "blank blank blank blank blank blank", so I'm guessing #4.

Several people got it right but only one person got it totally right or at least posted that she did.

Wild guess is #4. Most look like they were done by Koko the gorilla! (Except that one)
But it was not the gorilla. They are painted by monkeys!
Thanks, Floyd. I've been a fan of Koko forever ... need to check and see if she's still doing ok. I don't know anything about Pollock, aside from the fact that one of his paintings was discovered at a Goodwill a while back. It's probably the one reason I still go there from time to time, lol.

Congrats to those that got it right....
And tanks to all that were good sport enough to cast a vote and those that just added a comment in fun.
I have to tell you, I would have probably gotten it wrong myself.
No offence to Jackson Pollock, but I like number 3 the best and number 7 the second best so I probably would have went with umber 3. Number 4, the real Jackson Pollock, looks to much like blood splatter to me and I just don't like the idea of that.
I love abstract art, but I know nothing about it.
