Selling Portraits On Faa Questions...

I have taken various portraits that I think would be good to include on my FAA collection including some newborn photos. Before I get with my clients to go over model releases and possible commission on sales I wanted to make sure FAA allows that. I'm asking because when I search for Baby, I mostly only see the wonderful Anne Geddes. I didn't know if she had special rights and FAA limited other baby portraits on here or not.

Another question - I of course own the copyrights to all my images including portraits (my clients are given paperwork about this). I have some photos of hands, feet etc that don't show any faces. Do I need a model release, or permission from that client to sell those photos on FAA?

No doubt a model release is part of AGs work flow.

I don't think FAA cares what you sell as long as you have a legal right to sell it.

Those are fine if you have the parental permission

I believe you do not need releases for non recognisable parts

If someone had a tattoo and you put that up then you need a release as that is a recognisable art of a person and people would know that was they

If yo just put a hand and there are no distinguishing factors that is fine

Hopefully this isn't too off topic but I was wondering the same thing about dog portraits...do I need the owner's permission to sell them here?

Thank you Isabella. Just making sure it's ok with FAA before discussing it with my clients.

For the client, do you think it's fair to offer them a commission on any sales? I'm thinking 15% or 25%?
