Making Things With Recycled Material

Hi everyone, I wasn't so sure where to post this, so when in doubt, post in the general forum *laughs*. But anyways, I make dolls from recycled material like empty bottles and fabric, and yarn, and other stuff and wanted you guys to check it out, it's not stupid I promise *winks*.

I've been finding it really hard to get exposure lately so if you liked the vid please share it. Spread the word n stuff.
Also I have a kickstarter and if you like please donate, or send me virtual hugs...either one.

Kiya, I particularly like the two Asian dolls I saw in there. Very interesting. Good luck with them, they are different and cool.

Liya,

I love your work......They have Style, Charm,Humor and above all, Strong Artistic Imagery!!

Art Prints

Your video is wonderful with all your work displayed along with those thought provoking quotes...One thing though, I didn't see your name and contact info on it.

I also use recycled matter ( I changed the word, ".material." to "matter" ,..people kept thinking that I just used cloth).

I've been making a living for 40 years now., creating my own form of art

The internet is hard to make inroads.... How about Etsy?.

Have you tried selling face to face at shows?

You have the EYE and the HAND

And I know you have the Grit to make a name for yourself.

At this time, please accept my hug.

Oh by the way, shouldn't that beautiful doll be "Dearest Lisa"?

Thank you for the hug. I haven't tried selling face to face (i'm a bit shy) but I guess I'll have to get over that. If my kickstarter goes well, I plan to open an etsy shop. Oh it should be dearest, thank you! And Mario, that's awesome it's looks so vintage.

Wonderful work Liya! This sculpture used to be my backyard fence! I love using things headed for the dump and turning them into something else!

I like to make things from recycled materials and found objects. This one decorates my back yard. Love the dolls too.

This is made from old newspapers. Specifically from pulped papier mache. Still along the line of recyled materials Liya. You have great works by the way.Keep up the good works ok.

The owl and tree were made from dryer lint and the tree mixed media piece was a combination of strips of wood from a placemat and arranged them to make a tree trunk, then took small rocks and applied them to the surface. I then applied the paint and experimented with several techniques to come up with this composition. Sell Art OnlineSell Art Online

Tony,

E-mail me and we'll talk.

Kevin,

"Serendipity" is what having the "EYE" is all about....

Nothing says "Giraffe" more than that stick...and those special additions to it....WONDERFUL!!

Liya,
I love the idea of the video, especially the inclusion of the quotations. But at least half of them went by way too quickly for me to read them. This made them not only a distraction but an annoyance. I wanted time to read and take in the quote as well as to study and appreciate your dolls - no way I had time. If you make another video, I would keep timing in mind. I do think your dolls are very interesting and colorful and I love the idea of working with recycled materials.
