Did Social Site Help In Promoting Your Artwork?

My Facebook social page is: https://www.facebook.com/SheetalPaintings
and I get ~10 to 15 requests daily.
Is there any other social site help you to promote your work?

any Ideas & Suggestion?

Yes the only marketing I do is post on FB, twitter, and g+

Defintely. Joined some towns' pages, post to them and those are the only sources of my sales, both here and in the real world (outside of art fairs).

Louise, although I belong to several groups on fb I've never thought of joining town groups, sounds a good idea, thanks

I neglect my photography page.I found it too hard to attract an audience and no way to tell if they even get my feed. Congrats on your success with that. I rarely post to my personal page. I join all kinds of groups and I will post on all kinds of pages if the art relates to what the page is about. That includes town groups and company sites. I post to Twitter often, Pinterest occasionally and G+ when I think to do it. I am leery of doing too many links to here from G+ as I do not want to get thrown off. But it does seem to give a nice bounce in the Google search. Youtube is my 24/7 marketing tool with 7,000 views that at least promote my work even if few people click through on the links to FAA.

Towns have pages, too, L Gecka. I join those pages that are relevant-I do a "Doors of..." series as well as other images of towns and I post my work on those pages. If you have work that is location-centric, it can do well. For instance, Since I sell the "Doors of Lambertville" at a local gallery, I post in Lambertville's FB page when the poster is available or has been updated. My first batch of 5 large posters sold out in less than 48 hours and I have sold 15 plus the framed sample in less than 6 months. That would not have been possible without Facebook.

I tried to promote my facebook page, however it seems that if I don't pay for facebook boost posts, or to pay to get more likes I don't get enough views. :/ To be honest I am finding that pinterest gets me more views for my artworks.

Pinterest makes more sense because people use it to window shop or fantasy shop. Facebook is for boosting about your vacations and showing off your activities.

The idea of promoting on town pages is intriguing...but I would think they would not welcome soliciting sales there. Am I wrong?
