Wishes and Whims Originals By Michelle Jensen

Special Christmas

This year will certainly be a very special Christmas for me. Three nights ago I got that phone call that every parent dreads. My daughter had been in a horrible car accident. She rolled the car she was driving (they say) 9 times and was ejected out the passenter window. Initial reports were that it was a driver fatality accident. Her male friend and passenger was not ejected but managed to crawl out of the car, find her in the road and pull her to safety.

The great news is that she not only survided but after only three days was released from the hospital with minor injuries. Nothing even broken! She had to have a minor surgery to repair a torn tear duct in her eye and 6 staples to close a wound on her thigh. Besides that, just scrapes and bruises so far. There will be further test to check for torn tendons in her shoulder and leg if she continues to be in pain. Even better is the fact that she will be coming to Colorado to visit me for Christmas!

Remember to hug the ones you love because you never know when it can all be taken away! Merry Christmas to all!

Miraculous outcome! On any day. But, now? More! A great message for you, all of us.....and even More we can't comprehend, perhaps.

I'm so grateful they both survived. Good of you to share.

Thank you so much everyone! I can't wait to see my daugher in just a few days. It's going to be very hard not to grab her and hug the heck out of her. I work in an emergency room and unfortunately get to see some car accidents that don't turn out near as good as my daughters so I feel especially blessed that God was watching out for her!

Wow, thanks for sharing your Christmas miracle. Who is the man in the photo? Always remember that life is uncertain, and your people are precious.

I'm spending Christmas this year in CA. So yelling howdy as I fly over tomorrow.

Mary Ellen... that is my daughters friend that was in the car with her when she wrecked. He also walked away with a few stitches in his right hand and a brace on his left. He has been great to her and has not left her side since the accident.

Merry Christmas to you!

Wow- That is nothing short of amazing!! I am so glad she made it and you didn't have to go this Christmas or any future ones without her!!
I know how scary it can be! The car I was driving only flipped one and a half times- 3 years and 4 months ago, I'm still dealing with muscle problems in my shoulder, back and neck.
I hope she doesn't have to go through any of that!!

Hoping for that white Christmas in Colorado :)
I'm in Thornton.
