And just how is public scorn ever good? What research you doing that missed examples like Bill Crosby, Dixie Chicks, Spears, Loghan, any living politician, etc?
Can't you see that it is that you really are thinking people are stupid or don't matter. That's you can just jerk them around and not be scorned for that... Can't they take a joke? you're thinking. They won't remember that they hate me and still buy?
I'm not trying to beat you up but to really think about what's being said by your actions. If you're really disconnected about scorn being the same as even notice, that think people are cattle you might want to reevaluate your empirical data. If you've just been putting your foot in you mouth and treating people with disrespect (even if unthinking) you need to change your behavior.
