Patient - to complete the painting ?

I get a bit impatient to see the image begin to come together - but I am not impatient to finish, because that means that I have to stop.
Always excited to start a new one, but I must take some time to get away from the emotions of what I have just completed.
It's like finishing a good book, where you get a little sad .

it depends how you paint. when i get 70% through a project i have a new idea, but i have to finish the current thing, so it then feels rushed from that point on.

Sometimes artists will push to produce as many pieces of art just to offer more for sale. Money is their driving force. Then some artists have a number of subjects in mind and can hardly wait to finish one piece so they can start another. Artists will also have several pieces going at the same time. There is really nothing wrong with any of these scenarios. I personally create about 100 pieces a year. After consistently viewing them, I select one piece that I feel comfortable with. The rest, I destroy.

I just took a moment and looked at your work. A kind critique would be: There is no recognizable style to your work. Your work looks like four different artists created it. People should be able to view your art and immediately know it is a Mwaniki. Your art should be your fingerprint.Find a style you like and stick with it. Hope you don't think I am criticizing. Your work shows promise.

My art is a combination of realism and impressionism/expressionism , When i started painting i used to paint to impress as a style and as time went on i could admire realistic paintings I got myself trying so much to be realistic on my paintings; Whenever I used acrylic as a medium I used it for expressionism and when i used oil i used it for realism as a style until i got myself used to use all the mediums both oil and acrylic and now i can paint cubism, expressionism, realism and abstract using either oil or acrylic. I keep on trying different styles. Monsieur I like how you said my paintings they look like four different artist created it because thats what I have always wanted. Thanks
