Have A Twitter Question...

For those of you that use your twitter on a regular basis for your art...what is the best amount of tweets to do in a day?

I don't want to do too many and flood my followers feeds but at the same time I don't want to not do enough and have my tweets lost in the feed.

Also..is it better to use a lot of hash tags like 6 or 7..or stay smaller like 3 or 4..or does it not matter?

Thanks!..:)

I will tell you its very annoying when u get someone that fills your twitter feeds all day with there stuff. I usually will delete them. With that I try to post a few a couple times a day. There is a limit to how many words they let you have in the tweet box. if the hashtags are not sending people to y pages then I use a few for goodwill & thats it.

there really isn't any known good amount, because it depends how you tweet, what it is and who it is your tweeting too. just don't do it all in one chunk. many don't like that. hashtags, if you do them in the front, 2-3. if you put them in the back, just fill it up. but only add related words.

I seldom look at my twitter stuff - only when I'm going there to post stuff. There are a few people (at least one from FAA) that stays VERY busy posting their art on twitter.

I put two or three a day, sometimes a few more, but sometimes only once or twice a week.

If you're tweeting the same image, do so at different times of the day to have it seen by the most eyes. Somewhere there's a schedule of the good times during the day to do this. But I would say a maximum of 3 times a day, several hours apart. I only tweet once a day when tweeting my own stuff. I just looked at my home feed and someone tweeted the same art tweet FOUR times within 10 minutes and I immediately unfollowed them, and felt no guilt. This person only tweets their own stuff and I find someone like that one-dimensional and boring. Also, Twitter may suspend your acct for this 'spammy' behavior, and frankly, it annoys people.

Ok..thank you everyone.I just wanted to be sure I was doing it right.I just started really using my twitter account and am doing about 5 tweets a day...morning,noon,afternoon,evening and at bedtime.I alternate my tweets though so they are not all about my art..I share interesting posts or articles I find along the way so my feed has extra value.
