Oh yes, the syntax of that link looks VERY safe to click on.

Um, no thanks.

Chuck, it's a shortened URL, there are a number of online services that provide them. It's quite safe.

Don't use sandpaper.

i guess the bot that delivers these now just dumps a short url. if he wants more clicks then an opened url is what he should have. its a short url so they can track where these are coming from. at least it's not a money type url, where it spams you as you go.

I just put mine in the dishwasher on light cycle and on the top rack.

Me too Jeffery, but I always put the lens on a different shelf so they don't get knocked together and damaged.

Will have to remember that. I set mine outside to air dry as I like the fresh smell it gives them.

for stubborn spots, a sandblaster is a good tool to use. you won't even notice the spot any more.

That probably smells much better than the paint thinner I use but I use it before I put it in the dishwasher so it takes care of most of the smell.

you know there have been stories of people complaining their hard drive didn't work. and when he called tech support he told them he cleaned it every day. and they said, they didn't understand, and it turns out the guy was opening the drive and spraying it down with WD-40, and to keep it moving well. and there you go. as far as i know its a true story.

oh and kids don't use these methods for cleaning and you didn't hear it from us.

Oh I use the stuff you lube your belts on a car as it seems to make the computer run slightly.

Hum do hope no one is thinking it is safe to watch a lens in waters or even a camera in waters. I mean even the ones that say waterproof aren't when lens is off nor in salt waters.

Use dryer sheets. Your lenses will smell like a fresh spring day.

Jim Hughes, yes I know what it is. All the more reason to be cautious. I see bit.do used in spam emails all the time. And the reason I know that many of the links are masking malicious sites is because our Palo Alto security appliance flags the website as being a known malicious site. So, no, no clicky on bit.do for me.
