There is some great humor in this thread today, thanks for the chuckle. I actually like dead silence - in an over stimulated world, I like the peace and quiet - well, the crackle of a fire in the winter is nice. Although, when I need to drown out noise that is beyond my control (today I am working remotely in a the executive lounge of a hotel in Mexico City - the view is amazing and inspiration in itself), I tend to fallback on my playlist that includes Ben Rector (newer stuff) and Jack Johnson (older stuff).

An awesome and timeless song. Hint, hint to you know who!

I listen to music based on the piece I am working on. Currently, I am doing some impressionist treatments of street scenes in India, so I have the following piece playing in the background as a loop. Les

My Spotify lists keep me going while editting photos. I've been stuck on a playlist I created called "Random Joe" which includes some Sinatra, CCR, David and David's "Welcome to the Boomtown," Rodney McCowell's "Many A Long And Lonesome Highway," some Johnny Cash, Murray Head's "One Night in Bangkok," some 80s REM, Elvis Costello's "Allison" and the latest addition from the 9s, Pete Droge's "If YouDon't Love me." If I were a radio station, I'd be WJOE: We Play Anything!

Wear a shirt and tie and run with the creeps
Cause it's all about money, ain't a damn thing funny
You got to have a con in this land of milk and honey"

Depends on how in love or ticked off I am at the moment. Either way it usually involves George Strait and always involved country music.
