Okay, here is some more positive news.
I have finally had another image come up on the first page and in the number three slot no less in the search when you search on one of my keyword that has 422 other images with 36 pages of results!
Why is that such big news? Because that image only has one feature, 2 comments (one of them mine), 4 likes (one of the mine) and 3 favorites (one of them mine).
That is total verification that you can earn your way to higher search ranking by sales and forgetting about the likes, comments, favorites, contest wins and concentrating on promoting OUTSIDE FAA to get sales! That image only has 187 views also. And we all know that is a lot of bots.
This is the third image that I have tracked were I have raised the search ranking by sales generated from promoting outside of FAA.
This is proof positive that you can earn search raking much faster by selling then by collecting likes, favorites, etc. etc.
Now if I can do it anyone can do it? Why do I say that? Because all three images are higher in the ranking then dozens, actually hundreds of others that are much higher artistic quality then mine!!!
So get outside of FAA and promote you work! Don't listen the people that tell you that quality is the only measure of selling to the point that you start having doubts and second guessing yourself and you work. Just go do it!
Forget the competition. Forget stressing out over the search. Do the best you can with keywords and descriptions and then promote specific images to with their links back to your AW.
Just go do it! If I can, anyone can!
