Wow, what a great surprise, thank you so much Abbie, I am with friends and they had asked did I want anything special and I said all I wanted was Southern Cajun White Lima Beans with Crispy bacon, and sauted greens and corn bread and a glass of wine like my old friend Justin Wilson, .and a home made birthday cake!

@Peggy, thank you so much for the birthday wishes.....actually it started this morning a close friend took me to have a southern breakfast at a diner on St. Charles Avenue, The Please U Diner,,,,gosh I had two pancakes, two sunny side eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and great conservation. It was gloomy all day and then this evening the most beautiful sun burst through the clouds......the food was great and getting ready for that cake and ice cream.....have a great Thanksgiving.....cheers, Michael

Michael, am just baking my colossal carrot cake and wish that I could give you a slice. Justin was a friend of mine as well. He used to call me "The Bedico Bandit"! That was after I moved to Bedico, La. and was working for Sal Impastato in Lacombe, La.. He was a kick and yes, he did love his Chapeau, his young wife Janine and his wine, bottle at a time!

Greetings Phyllis, thank you so much for the birthday wishes,,,,wow that carrot cake sounds awesome, I have not had carrot cake in a long time, and the chef Justin Wilson was and so many others famed chefs he was there mentors.....and that wonderful accent....I garwa ren tee ya, hummmm hummmmm I have not watched TV in quite some time, can you still catch his cooking shows on PBS......
