Just Started Using Faa

I have been on fine art america as a profile box for a while and just started posting some of my artwork and photography, not getting a lot of interest as far as visits, is there a way to self promote here on the site other than Facebook or twitter? Would like to certainly get some for of feedback on my work.

lost of marketing stuff in the forums, start there. you have to build up an audience, and you have to advertise or people won't find you. 35 views over the is way too low, you should join the other social sites - google ranks you better when you do. no matter what it will be a lot of work.

Sell Art Online
you have work that can sell - but this isn't for sale.

Photography Prints
you have to scan this in for it to print here. its dark, i can see the wall and the resolution isn't that clean.

Art Prints
to get views you need more work, you need things to be on sale or advertising would be pointless. you need tags and descriptions on all your pieces. this one has none.

Sell Art Online
i can see this selling - but it's also not for sale. plus there is noise in the sky and shadow - this is compression noise. make sure to save it at the highest level you can. they can't print this one. i'd clone out the birds they look like dirt.

start people in galleries because what you have now is mixed. make sure you have cover logos for each. your bio looks ok, but you have little work to show for it.

It appears that on some of your images there is a bit of sensor dust showing up and as Mike stated you might first work on keywords, descriptions and adding more before attempting to send folks over to see your works.

Personally I only have 25 images as I am only currently using the free features the site offers.

Art Prints Love this one Brian and, Mountains in the Mist, but you need a ton more tag words, in the latter you only have two, Are the Original for sale,? if so how much, Are the originals sold, if so tell the viewer also for how much Give a description of the works Join Stumble upon, Google +
Wish you the best.

Brian, there's little that can be done here to promote your work. The key to selling here is determining who will want to purchase your work and marketing to them outside of FAA. Most people who will view your art from FAA are other artists who generally don't purchase others' artwork. Go where the money is.

I have read the thread so far. I am on the same page as Brian. Starting using FAA and wondering what else can be done in order to sell. If you could provide some critiques of my work it would be wonderful (I am not sure if I need to start a new thread, again I am new here).

Brian - I really like your work in general, just need to focus on attracting more people and start being noticed. I have been using Facebook and I have also heard Pinterest is a good way to start spreading the word.

@juan, its better to start your own thread to keep it neater.

Welcome to FAA. I recommend listening to the veterans here such as Mike, Floyd, JC, Jeffery and many many more (to many to name). You do have to do a lot of promotion to get out there. I also suggest promoting here on FAA by visiting other artists, following, commenting, ect. You want to attract as much attention as you can. A lot of artists on FAA are great at helping out others and sharing others works on their social media sites. So welcome and get to know others here. Good luck.
