I love this show but do not do Netflix. Ah well, maybe I can get it on demand. You are right, it is/was and excellent show.

Great news! I've been watching since the beginning,since I've read all the books before it was made into a TV series and wasn't crazy about the actual filming and direction, but each season got better, as the show got more money and better writers,etc.

Another great show, under the radar of most people, is "Vikings" on the History channel:

Again, give the first season a little break, until you get grabbed by it. After the first season, it's really good!

Longmire left us on a heck of a cliffhanger, so I'm looking forward to seeing who shot whom, although I enjoy both actors.

Rich, just how gory is the "Vikings"?

Vikings is pretty gory, sometimes. After all these were people attacking others with hand held weapons. It is a very good show and has at its center strong women.

Loved the books and the TV show. I was shocked when it was canceled. I have been with NETFLIX for years...

Well, pretty gory! It's not constant like Tarantino movies, but when people are killed and how they are sometimes killed is pretty graphic, to say the least. This was a very violent period and violent people and that isn't filtered out.............

Game of Thrones type violence...........
