Change Artist Website Contact?

Hi,

I released a few days ago that I'm not getting FAA/Pixels email messages anymore. Already sent a support ticket and waiting for it to get resolved... however, I just realized that my shiny new artist website that I'm trying to utilize more, has a contact form and I don't know where the messages go from there. I'd assume they go to my FAA message account, but I just sent a test message to myself and didn't get the message in my email box OR my FAA message account.

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the send to email address to go to your own email account instead of FAA? I'm guessing not, in case buyers need to contact FAA/Pixels about order inquiries. But, I'm wondering what I'm to do if someone tries to contact me directly through the contact form and I don't get the messages directly. Ideally, the contact form would go to BOTH my FAA message account AND my own email account.

Anyone know of a work around or a way to make this happen?

Skip, re messages ... when logged out, I contacted myself on the AW........that contact email landed at my home email, not at pixles/faa/aw..........logged out, those do reach us.

It came to me, at home, because that's the email for faa to send 'do not reply'.....to me...via 'contact artist'.........how it works I don't know, but it works.

@Vivian... well crud then. I guess neither my FAA/Pixels messaging OR my artist website contact form is working then. Dang it!

Am absolutely sure that you can arrange/re-arrange where you are to be contacted! Look Behind the Scenes, maybe. I'll check mine.

There are a lot of things not working with the new AW's.

I think it is a mistake to have it as your default setting at this time. This is prime selling time.

The contact form goes to your email you have set Behind the Scenes. Contact Info.

I've got my main email address there and am not getting test messages. Maybe I'll try changing it to another address to see that that works.

if you use hotmail, comcast or aol - they were blocking FAA emails... but the fault is on those companies.

I sent to you logged in, and one as logged out..........let me know.

I got your messages Vivian. Thanks!

By changing my contact email on the artist website, it also changed my regular login email as well. The email I was using is my main skiphuntphotography.com address. Changed it to my gmail address and at least my artist website contact appears to be working. It's a little troubling that my contact form on my artist website may not have been working for who knows how long.

Thanks for the info everyone! I guess now all I can do is wait for my regular messaging problem to come up in the support queue.

You'll have to explain "prime selling time" - Only once - a year or so back did I sell anything just before Christmas - cards. Most other sales have come the first quarter of the year.

@Roy I should maybe edit it to read "usually prime selling time"?

@Heather I use both Comcast and Yahoo mail. Never had a problem with FAA emails. I have not tried it in the new AW or are you having problems in the FAA mother ship and the old AW as well?

The emails go to whatever your contact email is. That is also your log in ID

Comcast and AOL block us every week directly after the newsletters go out.

For a few weeks yahoo, itt, several others also blocked us

@Abbie,

I've had mine set with my main email address for years and never had a problem, which is not an AOL or Comcast account (email.secureserver). But, changing it to my gmail account at least fixed it for new messages on the Artist Website. Where emails from the artist website have been going until this point is unknown. There aren't any junk/spam mails in my local client, and I logged into the server to see if anything was filtered there, but nothing.

I'm still showing unread messages via the FAA messaging system, but I know it's still in Sean's queue for fixing?

FYI: Also tried logging into the account from each different portal individually to see if if they'd show up that way... no dice. I just tried sending myself another test message while logged out via FAA and nothing showed up.

Abbie,

Has FAA ever contacted the companies that block and asked them why they do it?

Abbie Shores

yes, we contact them every week to get them unblocked. I think it's just related to them getting lots of emails sent from us when we send the newsletters. They automatically block. They won't change it

I'm curious...

1. does anyone else have this issue where your FAA/Pixels message account shows you have unread messages, only there aren't any unread messages? Or, am I the only lucky SOB with this issue? I'm only showing 1 unread message, but Abbie said she saw 3 from her end. And then there are the test messages I sent that never came through.

2. I changed the setting to "Yes" for the system to send me a regular email when someone sends me a message, and now at least I get an email when I send myself a test message (though it still doesn't show up in my account). Does this imply that I'm at least getting any message sent to me?

3. This issue isn't that important to me since I don't really use the inter-site message system much anyway, but it causes me to have concern my account might have other kinks and issues as well. Is that an unreasonable assumption? Or, is the messaging system completely separate from the rest of the account functions?
