Art Catalog: Where Do You Get One Made?

I'm thinking of creating an art catalog to give, sell, and use for interior designers. Does anyone know a good catalog maker online or a store?

Has anyone ever made one. What were your results? Was it a useful tool or a waste of money.

blurb.com

i forget what they call it, but it is on cheap paper and prints up quite reasonably.

Marlene, how much of one's work should be in an art catalog? Is it more a 'sampling' or a complete catalog?

Would pricing be included and does anyone know what % discount interior designers would expect off the retail price. Want to explore this next year.

Magcloud......I make more sales with those than I do through FAA....by a long shot.

Is Magcloud a virtual catalog, Thomas? http://www.magcloud.com/

I have the same questions as Melissa does. I too am hitting this first part of next year.

It said it was part of blurb now when I looked earlier. Jani, it looked like it covered all the basis...print catalog and virtual catalog. Still love some input on what to put in it and how to price, or have separate pricing sheet maybe? An insert in case pricing changes. What about when you do new work? How would you update a print catalog...? Send out a smaller 'New Works' catalog?

I found a link to a blog post that might be helpful to answering some of our questions.

Interior designers will want to see wholesale prices. You cannot try to second guess what they will sell your work for. They will be a middleman.
Some mark up 50%, some 200%.
Once you sell it wholesale, your deal is done.
I have done small catalogs for a specific niche. I still do far better with an online viewing than hard copy.

Blurb are good, you can have it as an online catalogue as well. You can even have it on the iTunes store in ibooks.
