Are You Using Tsu Yet?

Hi

Just wondered if any of you have considered or have started using TSU to promote your work and drive traffic to either Fine Art America or your own website? I started a few days ago and I have had some success. Not huge, but it's growing.

If you don't know, TSU is very similar to Facebook, but whereas Facebook keep 100% of the advertising revenue, TSU keep 10% and give the other 90% back to the content creators.

Would be interested to know other people's experience. Feel free to connect with me on TSU if you want to share ideas. https://www.tsu.co/goofysurfer

No - although I signed up - my ancient brain cell just can't grasp what I should be doing there. I was unsuccessful with facebook as well - !!!

There's a lot of buzz about it because it's new Roy. That is also creating a lot of spam, but I think that will die down once people work out how to use it. As I say, I've noticed an upturn in my web traffic (to my own site...not sure about FAA).

Even if people are not sure, it's probably wise to do as you have done and reserve your username before someone else takes it.

How many new SM's is one person expected to learn and conqueror before he is spending all his time learning and managing SM and never any time actually using them to sell their art work?

You say you have had some success.... have you actually made any sales?

its too new, and invite only. anyone visiting would see blur. i'll wait a few years and see if they are still around. right now its a buzz stage. any traffic from any site can be made with bots just to show there is an "increase" if anything maybe that is the kista bot.

Floyd - Fair point. I like social media, but having to manage Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, G+, Pinterest etc. and now TSU, it might be too much for people. I guess it's about finding the 1 or 2 that work best for you and going with that. Personally...I'm having a play around with TSU. To answer your question, I do make sales through my website and traffic has increased recently and I am seeing referrals from TSU. Whether they are the same people that are buying, I have no idea.

Mike - It is a blur! Be very selective with who you 'Friend' or 'Follow' as that dictates what you see in your feed. As you say, it's invite only just now. This is mine https://www.tsu.co/goofysurfer but everyone gets one when they join.

i feel if i'm going to go through the work of building up a network, and promoting on there as well, that google should be able to pick up on it and see what i wrote. a normal viewer looking for something will not join a site just to see if their search terms are there or not. being private and exclusive isn't a good way to promote ones self. now i suppose if you were to use it to gab with friends as it was intended for then fine. but to use it as an advertisement platform, i think it's too weak and way too new.

if outsiders can't see it - its of no value to me.
