Some people think it happens. If so, it's really rare and not worth worrying about.

A lot of work for very little return I should think. People who don't want to pay for it aren't going to go through this hassle.

Interesting. Never even gave that a thought. Sounds like a lot of work for very little gain - even for a scammer.

Isay it's time we stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's going down...

Seriously, keep doing reverse Google image searches and let it go. I've yet to have a return anyway, knock on wood.

Thanks all of you! It's time I stopped worring about this sort of thing...so sweet of all of you to take a moment to reply!

If it does, its no harm to the artist. FAA absorbs it. Unlike on Amazon where the practice happens all the time and the seller take the hit.

some how after, buying it, paying shipping (which is pretty high, and don't they have to pay to send it back?) - it would be rather costly, for something they can then end up in court over.

If someone wants to do that it would be easier to go to a local store and do it. No messing around waiting for the mail or paying to ship it back.

I used to get people that would buy art from the gallery and hang it over the holidays and then return it. Just part of doing business. It was no big deal.

But this is not an issue here. Never even seen it come before.

If that's the best scam a scammer can come up with he should probably consider a career change :-)
