How Do I Change The Text In Adobe Photoshop Elements 10?

I would like to change the text. For example, Change the person's name on the photo. Thanks.

But where, Vonnie? In the File Info that is embedded with the image? Or on the actual image itself?

is this live text on the image itself? or is this a name tag on someone's shirt? do you have an example we can look at?

if you want to change the file name you can do that in windows, F2 and then edit.

if the image has text, then you need to use the TEXT tool and select the text and change it

if the name is in a graphic, you'll have to clone the old one out and put a new one in.

Remember if the text is on a layer, you have to pick the layer in question to alter it. I keep forgetting that and can't figure out why it won't let me select the text.

text will automatically select even if your not on that layer. provided your using the text tool and select the text you want to change.
