Another Etsy Shop With Stolen Faa Art

I found this shop a few minutes ago with art from Derrik Higgins here on FAA. Contacted the artist and it is indeed stolen. You guys might want to check some of the other work. Not a very big shop but recognized a few.

There's a "report this shop to Etsy" link on every person's shop. Just click it and they'll get shut down pretty quick. Etsy's pretty good at follow up on that.

You have to wonder about the shops that carry every conceivable image under the sun. Did the shop owner really go out and photograph that whale, and then come home and do all those paintings? Something fishy about that. As consumers, maybe we should stop and think about what we are buying.

So true Patricia, And how funny that the art goes from realism to photography to naive. So obvious that it is different artists work. There is a pelican portrait that is so familiar but I can not place the artist.

They don't have to paint all of those pictures. There is software you can buy or some even for free that will put any image in any setting.

I did one last year with about a dozen of my images that put the image inside a Christmas Tree ornament hanging on a tree. The same software did all sorts of backgrounds.

Makes it easier then ever to steal and reproduce images that way.

There is no end to it and it will only get worse for the foreseeable future.

That one is Jon Ferrintino's, I have sent him a message too.
