all these new places - i won't go on until they are known and old places. the ones you just posted right now - i can't see anything, i can only see your name, it's one of those that you need to be logged in. and that ello place is invite only - how many buyers are there if it's that hard to get in? and if google can't see it, or a passerby can't see it, what's the point?
there's are hundreds of these sites btw. you can only spend so much time in a day..

This one will work like Youtube I am not so sure about Ello since they will base their income on charging members for things later on. I will give this a try do I need to request an invite?
Ello told me NO DICE when I went looking for an invite on their home page.
I have no use for Ello's invites.
I am with Mike on this.
I just read a good blog on Google Plus. The blogger has prints on FAA. He
has been up and running as a photographer for some four months roughly. His
work is extremely good. He has 1400 plus followers on G+, and has had
230000 views. But that has not translated to views on FAA. He has worked
his butt off.
http://www.frasermccullochphotography.com/category/social-media/
He is now finding Twitter. His work will do well, really well, just my opinion.
It will sell itself without thirty blog entries in 4 months, without discussions
with fellow photographers for months on end...etc....
He is going to do extremely well here. JMO
You might see that just from his header on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/goofysurfer
He wont need Ello or the Tsu.......
Less is more if you choose to have more out of less.

I signed up- it looks a lot like Twitter. Hopefully I'll get around to trying it out. Trying to manage all these social media and selling platforms is a full time job. I'd hate to figure out my pay per hour when it come to all of this :).

Nice article Floyd... I'm nearing 200 images... Hopefully I'll see my first sale soon :).

I like TSU I can see this working since it also makes my other SN easier. ELLO does not allow for links to show the image you have to upload your work. I will most likely not continue on ELLO it just does not fit what I am trying to do.
Floyd, great blog. I just reached my 800 mark and will be working towards the 1000 mark. The beauty of FAA is that I can show many different galleries. Even so I specialize in food photography does not mean I do not take pictures of other things. I can showcase them here. I just uploaded some beautiful macros perfect art for the computer professionals office just yesterday. I take lifestyle images of vineyards and organic farms, and off course tons of images of animals, bugs and landscapes. It would be a shame to have to limit myself to just food. Your advise brings that home.

Let me know if you join if you follow me I do the same for you. http://www.tsu.co/IrisR
Will also check your work when I have time in the name of supporting and promoting each other.

John,
She is extremely biased. She runs the competition.
She makes an interesting point in point number four, no security team.
The only thing is she has the tiniest set of SM/blogging in the world, so where
is her security team? Nothing like speaking from experience. Right?
As far as costs/profits, well the internet was made to be very scalable, Tsu probably wont have
a problem making money. The best manufacturing companies in the world generally run on 5% profit margins, EBITA.
Her SM for Friends never made any inroads against FB obviously.
I think she is all motive and no profits, but that has nothing to do with Tsu.

Matthias,
I have some 7500 followers on Twitter. I have an independent profile. None of
them can pollute as Mike says, or Litter as I say, my Twitter profile. I can sell
very independently of anyone else's images.

Dave
PS Fraser many of your 500 followers/friends will now bury your stuff on a daily basis. It is only a matter of time
till all the lines of decorum are crossed.

yeah, the irony didn't escape me. yet i see little advantage working there, and do see it as a media house of stolen work. pinterest is pretty bad, they said the same thing - we'll take care of it. but unless someone reports it, they won't know. and i won't know because i'm not a member and can't be one unless someone invites me. and i don't trust them at all. oddly i didn't see anything on that site that outlined anything about copyright. maybe i was looking in the wrong place. pinterest has it up front, they say what they plan on doing with the images they have. this site seems to gloss over that.
any views you might be getting from there - may be totally fake as well. its easy to fake a view.

is that how it works? you invite someone, but they have to post to your wall? wouldn't that get in the way of advertising your own stuff?

David,
as Gina wrote above:
"On Tsu whether a person is Friend, Follower, or neither, it doesn't matter, anyone can comment on your page. Not that most would, but they surely could."
You posted one of your pictures on my profile. If I don't want it to be there I can delete it - which I will not do... ;-) It will only be a problem if people start doing this regularly.
I'm sure more advanced settings for visibility / restrictions / privacy will be implemented soon.

Mike, Tsu is much like Facebook. You post content on your profile, others can like or share it, you get notifications. No big difference.
it sounded like other people will post their content in your profile. but in the end, no one will look at your stuff if they are recruiting the site.
if i had to guess. people will keep doing this for about 6 months. meanwhile they are generating a crazy amount of people to jump start the place. they will pay a certain amount of money (their examples oddly had the same number earned each time they got something). after 6months, they will say that they are changing it to a money making thing and will stop paying. there is little way to erase your account according to one story. so your stuck there. your not getting paid, and you advertised a place that already looks like facebook. it's a sneaky way of getting people.
when pinterest first started, they generated their own content, and copied it a 1000 times. just to make their place look popular. when they became popular they erased all that content, including the president of the place, when he all kinds of copyrighted stuff in there. but many people were dazzled at the high numbers of people that looked at the site - but it was all faked. and i see this site doing the same thing. its no different then a company sending you free stuff so you can put a good review into amazon.

just to point out though - its nothing like facebook. set to public google will find my content and direct people to it. you can't do that with tsu - because it's all blurred. your not advertising to anyone but other advertisers.

Mike,
They dont "HAVE TO" post on your wall, but if Fraser has over 500 followers and I have three followers/friends and no one cares?
Why not use Fraser's friends? He is not "selfish". He is willing.
So you guessed it. Anyone who has no followers, their art is half arsed, and they want a large following can borrow anyone and everyone
else's following/friendship (makes no difference).
Can you image the dream that is for app makers? Get your app here to be followed by one million friends on Tsu. Who cares when or where.

Mike,
They have a rocket symbol next to each image or post you put up. You can hit the rocket and pay
for an ad that goes out to many many profiles. LOL
Suckers.

i do wonder about the copyright - what is tsu's views on it? i can't find any of that info from the outside. there must be something there, because they are making money from it.

Mike, maybe you are right, only time will tell. I go there for 10 minutes a day, post / share and like some stuff and watch how it evolves. The views on my Facebook Page are steadily decreasing so why not invest the time on Tsu. I like it to get some Pennies every day in my wallet (unfortunately the payout level is relatively high - 100$).
David, in the FAQ you can find this (there is a clickable Link when you are on Tsu):
How do I delete my account?
We're sorry to see you go! You can delete your tsu account by clicking here. This action is permanent: deleted accounts cannot be restored and the funds in your wallet will be distributed back to the community.

Payout is $100? LOL
The vast majority of people who sign up will never get to payout and many (I'm guessing most) of those will never even bother to close their accounts. Guess who keeps all the money in those cases?
Jim, yes. There are some users who post screenshots with wallets in the $80 - $90 range. But maybe it's just photoshop, who knows... ;-)
Its the same as with some microstock sites. Some years ago I uploaded some photos to iStock (before I turned to Macrostock). It took many years to reach the payout of $100... ;-)

This sounds like Bubblews for art or is it for any content?
Bubbless works.... if you spend enough time there you can make upwards of 6 or 8 dollars a month. Maybe a week if work at 24/7! lol
For some of you with more time on your hands that like to write and blog already, you can post you blogs on Bubbleews and then share them on Twitter and Facebook. If they get hits, you get a few pennies. If they get comments or some other things, I don't vote or something, you get money.
I played around with it for a few days last December. I didn't spend a lot of time with it and I earned a whole $10. But I wasn't trying to earn money, I was trying to promote links to my AW. Not sure if it ever worked or not.
They did not have the FB and Twitter sharing back then, I don't think, I could be wrong. Some go check it out and let the rest of us to lazy to, know what you think. Or may there is some one here using it?

Not even going to bother. I agree with Mike, pyramid scheme. And, it's true. Almost everyone here who have signed up, pretty much posted their link. Post your link, people use your link to sign up, you get money. From the sounds of it, not much money. Whoever create the site, isn't dumb. They took the age old pyramid scheme and turn it into lets make this the latest social networking site.
Good luck to those who joined. I have better things to do then to join another social networking site... that could give me money if I work at it.

From the Tsu FAQ:
"How does tsῡ work?
tsū shares social revenues that come from third party ads, sponsorships and partnerships. Once economics are created, tsū receives 10% to maintain the platform. Half of the remaining earned revenue is paid to the user who created the content. The other half of the remaining earned revenue is distributed to the user’s network Family Tree. Users on tsū monetize their content and network in perpetuity, which continues to grow alongside the community."

Matthias,
You get a small portion of my 6 cents.
Thanks for pointing out the delete function. I was looking quickly for the deactivate function.
I have better things to do with my time.
Speaking of Ponzi schemes I need to vote. LOL It is American to do so.
Ponzi scheme meets chain letter and you have Tsu.

Well I'm not saying they're crooked or even unethical but, like Mike says, if outsiders and search engines can't see the posts, it's just another by-invitation social networking party - the music is playing, the bar is open, but you won't meet anyone new.
