Kudos To The Fullfillment Center

I just received an order of seven prints from faa that were ordered rolled in a tube to save shipping costs. The total shipping costs were $10.50 for all (7) 14 - 16 inch prints. The big surprise is that they did not arrive in a tube but in a flat box that measured 30 x 30 inches. The prints were secured away from all edges and protected by layers of cardboard. The exterior of the box was beat up as sometimes happens in shipment but the prints were perfect.
I now have sample prints in almost every paper that faa offers. I was very impressed with all of the different materials offered in prints. Archival matte may become my favorite for most prints for its fine detail without gloss but the picture rag and watercolor paper are awesome when a more matte or even textured appearance is appropriate.
Well done FAA!

Interesting, I wonder if the rolled in a tube thing is correct or if it depends on the type of paper selected or something? I was also expecting a couple of prints I had ordered of my own work to arrive rolled in a tube. They came in a box that would have been large enough to have held a framed print. LOL

The engineering of how the flat prints were held suspended in the center of the box was on its own interesting to see. I honestly think I got my money's worth as far as shipping in just the packaging.

And the prints, of course, were beautiful.

I'd just love to know what the magic combo is that gets them shipped flat?? Is it down to the paper chosen?

Kudos as well for both the prints and the packing. ;-)
