Not lupines, maybe some kind of celosia?

it is an Astilbe.

Not any astilbe I've ever seen... wrong leaves and the spikes are individual.
Its a variety of celosia.

Mine is very invasive and grows wherever a seed ends up. so more of a weed than a plant now!

Thank you, these do indeed seem to be celosia. I'm not a botanical guy, so I need a little help now and then to figure out what the heck something is.
