Oil-painting

I'd love to do oil painting on canvas, but I do not know what ingredients are in order and where I could get it.This material I painted portraits of my brother on the wall of the house (room) and wanted to paint the walls reveal similarities painting.

Anyone want to give advice and criticism on top of all of this?! ...

there are books and internet can show you how to paint in oil. you can search on the web where to buy the art supplies you needed in your area. I would not use oil paints to paint on the wall, first it is far too expensive and you need to prime the wall first. If you still want to paint on the wall, use house paints. What happen if you have to move? Can't take that painting with you!

Alfred is right, one does need to make sure it is properly primed and well dried first before you paint. or else it will crack in the future.

i believe that working with frescos and murals..if you want them to last..they used some kind of plaster and decay it...the key is some kind of fermenting it...i cant explain but you can watch michaelangelo's documentary...
