Iphone 5c Cover Protection

Does the 5c case have a clear cover on the front to protect the screen?

Protect your iPhone 5C with an impact-resistant, slim-profile, hard-shell case. The image is printed directly onto the case and wrapped around the edges for a beautiful presentation. Simply snap the case onto your iPhone 5C for instant protection and direct access to all of the phone's features!

From the information it doesn't appear that it does and I haven't seen any of the cases come with that feature. The one I bought for my phone didn't come with one and it was extra cost when I bought phone at the store.

No, the case covers the sides and back. You'll have to buy your own screen protectors.

Just as an aside I use one of the covers from here, and I love it. For the iPhone, they're made by Case-Mate and are the 'Barely There' model.

There is little or no protection on these cases. I have bought a few just see the quality and for gifts. Almost anything else that is on the market offers better protection. I dropped mine on the pavement and managed to get my foot under it before it hit the black top. It still put a huge gouge in the case.

My guess is that if it had hit the pavement directly, there could have been some phone damage. The is no "shock" or impact protection to speak of at all.

The value in these covers is in the custom art work, not the case it self, imho. And they are pricey to boot.

I manage to sell one or two a moth, but nothing that is going to make me rich. However, it does not take a big percentage of the 100,000 members to sell one or two a month to make a lot of money for FAA. More power to them.

I would like to see a better quality case, one with drop protection in it. I have offered to sell them to a few of my friends with their own picture on them, at my cost. The lack of drop protection was the deal breaker every time.

I gave a couple away as gifts. They are not being used and when I ask why, that lack of protection is what they say.

No big deal. It is what it is.

Too many sellers make a big deal about this image doesn't fit that one don't look good. I just let the buyer decide. I have sold a few where they moved the image to where they wanted it and I thought it was the worst placement they could have chosen. But they bought it. It's their money. Never had one returned.

Thanks everybody for your reply. Very informative. In that case, I think they should offer better quality cases, since it affects sales. People don't mind spending a little more for better cellphone protection.

They really should consider using the newer gel cases, that's all you can find in stores now.

Susan, can they print an image on them easily and will the image last?

I think that was/is the number one criteria for choosing the one they did.

But yes, I agree there should be a better case option.

I know I dropped my iPhone 4 with one of the FAA cases numerous times on to the concrete. Both phone and case are fine. Haven't managed to drop my iPhone 5s yet, but it'll happen sooner or later, and I'm not worried about it.

Dropped my galaxy more than a few times. Case works fine.

Lets not get carried away here. lol

I never said it had zero protection or that is was garbage. All I am telling you is what several people have told me. I happen to agree with them.

Just look at the protective case on the market.

I had the Direct TV guy here the other day. He dropped his phone off my roof, 15 feet or so, into the driveway.

I was shocked that it actual bounced about a foot and half into the air. Zero damage. Standard over the counter case. I would not want to do that with the FAA case.

I have my original case I bought with the phone. It has slip guards all the way around the phone that act as bumpers when you drop it as well.

You look that case next to the FAA common sense would tell you that the one with the slip-guards is better protection.

I use mine because I don't care if my get smashed or not. It is phone, not a baby or of a priceless jewel. If it breaks, I just buy another one. I like having my one of my images on my phone. I don't care what it cost or if it protects the phone. A lot of people are going to feel that way over all.

It is what it is.

I have an iPhone 5C. I chose to purchase the Apple rubberized case. It's turquoise with 35 holes. For the front, Verizon put on a screen protector to prevent scratches. I have dropped the phone, and it has never cracked.

From now on, I will only purchase the rubberized cases and none from here. With my other phone, I was replacing plastic cases every other month.

Actually Floyd, you said exactly that.

"There is little to no protection. " and that isn't true.

Yes, there are far better cases on the market if protection is the one and only concern. The really good ones can cost 100 bucks. I have insurance on my phone and don't need protection that would work when an Abrams tank drives over my phone and the super protection cases don't have my art on them.

Myself and my Youngest son have these covers as we are careful with our phones but do get the occasional drop. My older son I swear uses his phone as a baseball. He has the 100 buck life case.

Floyd I believe they can, you can but gels with pics on them.

I stand corrected JC I did indeed say that. My bad.

The is so protection. In my experience that related where I dropped it, the case took the damage instead of phone itself.

"I have insurance on my phone and don't need protection that would work when an Abrams tank drives over my phone and the super protection cases don't have my art on them. '

I love it! Abrams tank! lol But your point is more then well made.

I was basically tying to relate what was told to me by the 2 or three people told me when I gave them one for free and when I offered to get a few people one for my cost. These were people that really quick to pull their phones out and show you their favorite of kids or grand kids or pets.

I just mentioned that I can get them a case with that picture on the it for them. No takes and the reason they all gave is it did not have the protection their current case had.

But you are 100% right, I did over state my case. Sorry about that.

I like mine because it is thin, lite and it has MY favorite picture on it. If my phone gets run over by you tank, I will get the newest phone I can and put the same case on it.

Interesting, the same people that make the cases for FAA also do iPad cases. Wonder why Sean did not sign up for those too?

I can see a matching pair sales there.

Just a thought.
