many people said wrong things about my picture because they do not see it. it is not a "blatant copy of someone elses work". it is a picture of my son playing.

One thing you have to learn as both a photographer sharing your work and a person participating in an internet forum is to develop a thick skin. No one in that other thread really said anything out of the way to you. It was closed because of several members going back and forth with each other, not toward you. Additionally, be prepared when you -- and this would go for everyone -- post work online that not everyone is going to like it and some people may tell you why they don't. Take it with a grain of salt. The fact that anyone responds to these threads proves that for themost part we are willing to help you.

technically if the statue wasn't there it would be just a pile of kids. by something different would be a piece with roses coming out. or an interesting play of light and shadow on it. this show the entire statue which is unique in itself.

would the image be remotely interesting if there was no statue?

i'm not sure what people your referring to since you just put it up, but to me this isn't different enough to say "it's yours".

Thankyou Joseph.. no i was not offended by anyone speaking. and they did not see the work so i show it now. I do have thick skin and i am same with behavior in other forums. i think many people here like to argue but not us. we have peace now:::::>

Yes Mike i think it is mine. the statue of a monster and the children together are new work yes. a man said what is the point and ishould not do this but i think he is wrong.

but its not. without the statue it would just be kids. a new work would be taking the shadow of the statue from above. or taking a piece of it, or using it maybe as a frame or something like that. this is just a picture of a statue.

you are probably safe being that it was made in 69, but you could always contact the artist to be sure.

lots of good story Mike. The statue is made by Bronisław Chromy. It did not breathe fire when i visited it which is good because this looks frightened

i think maybe i impose some fire in the picture.

no need for lawman Edward. i think it ok for everyone to speak but not argue and i do not have many euros to buy lawman for something so simple as a little picture::::>

and that's the reason its often not worth it. if you are sued, then you would need the law to help, and its expensive and you have to ask was it worth it? this statue has been here since before the internet, chances are they probably aren't as jumpy as current artists. but being so unique and easy to find, if someone had a grudge they could report it. however being there are so many images of it, yours will be lost in there.

always in the end is - is the one image worth the chance at potentially getting in trouble in the future? i have quite a few images i would like to release, but i don't want to take a chance on it.

yes i think taking chance with my son in picture is worth it. i gave birth to him and it hurt lol. but i understand why you dont take chance Mike. you are maybe big business man with pictures. goodnight and thank you :::::>
