Get Your Art More Attention!!

Hey All!!

I am a new(ish) artist to Fine Art America and I have been having some issues getting exposure. I find a few people visit my page every now and then but no sales yet. I have been posting on social media and using sponsor promotions but NO SUCH LUCK.

Is there anyone that can recommend something for me to do in order to get my work to sell more?

please check out my work at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/allison-liffman.html you can also view my website at AllisonLiffmanArt.com

ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!!!!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR OWN WEBSITES ON THIS PAGE TO TRY AND GET MORE EXPOSURE AS WELL!!

THANKS EVERYONE!

Nice work, Alison.

You need to use more tags on your works. This will help with search engines. You have 500 characters available. Don't space after commas and use all the characters.

The above piece:

Redhead,redheads,woman,performer,topless,hat,dancer,female performers,female dancers,dance, ... to name a few.

Add your name as a tag to all images: ...Alison,lifman,...caps aren't necessary.

Keep using social media. It takes a while to gain momentum. Boost posts and select the demographic that would most likely be interested in your work. For instance, musicians for your guitars.

Use hashtags when you post on Twitter, G+, and Facebook.

Your work lends itself to illustrations. Look into a writers and illustrators market guide book for places that are looking for your style. This is also a lot of work and takes a while to gain momentum. Being tenacious and staying positive is just a couple of keys to success.

Hi Allison.
You have some really nice images there.
I have a couple of sugestions for you.
You only have the one gallery that is for you photos. It does need to have a thumnail image rather than just the blank it is showing.
I would also split your other images into themes and put them in seperate galleries and then make sure your page opens with the galleries and not all the images together.
You should also have a description for every image to help with searches by the search engines. It has been suggested to put the title of the image followed by your name and then a bit about the image, where the photo was taken or if art work why you did it etc.
Have a look at the other threads with the same question.Mike S. always gives some good answers

your image has plenty of exposure, it actually goes against the rules of the forum.

i can see your things hanging in bars and such, mens clubs, man caves, etc, but you'll have to advertise it as such.

Art Prints
you have no description here and hardly any keywords. if you want people over here you have to tell us what this is, describe it exactly and add more words.

Photography Prints
4 words no description won't attract people. jazz club, jazz man, man, men, blues, blues club, etc and any genre this fits into, the style of his clothes, music, instrument etc. this is all step 1.

you must have a gallery set up, you only have 1 folder, it has 10 photos in it. as a buyer i need organization.

you'll want to raise your prices a bit. but you'll have to advertise any place you can, do what i said above first, do what jani and abbie said. it takes time to be seen.

Allison,That looks much better.
It now looks organised and not just a jumble of pictures.
Now you need to keep promoting your images on all the social sites that you can.Don't foreget linkedin as well
