Logging In Again

OK, for weeks ... maybe months now ... I have stayed logged in to FAA. Now all of a sudden I'm having to log in every time I leave the site and come back. What happened?

I noticed. That was a short lived convenience... Sigh

Well, I was a little bit concerned about that when it was first switched to continuous login. But now we're logged out immediately? Couldn't we find a happy medium? A day? A few hours at least?

It should be 20 minutes inactivity...

I will check for you

I just lasted 4 hours....

Nice security upgrade! 20 minutes is good. Imagine someone logging into a computer at a friends house or in a public place and then leaving the account open for the next person to come along and use. Knowingly or not.

I don't mind it. Where I used to work (a public school), there was an automatic log-off after 30 minutes of inactivity. If your computer was unattended we didn't need the students getting into the digital grade book and "fixing" things. :)

I don't think there's a 20 minute wait. I can leave the site and immediately come back via bookmark or typing in the URL and I am logged out. Interestingly, I can leave for several hours and click my Sales Announcement page and am still logged in.

I have a desktop that has been logged on for 2 days in my house. So twenty minutes is not the case for me. On my android I can remain on for days without logging in. I prefer it this way as I deal with log outs at work all the time which is very annoying to say the least.

“It is safer for your account.”

I agree with Abbie. I have NEVER chosen the “stay logged in” option for ANY site.

Call me paranoid if you like, I simply find it prudent.

As for the annoyance of logging out? Two clicks is annoying? And if you are like me, I click on any email from faa and choose to log in automatically. Rarely do I ever have to actually go to the login page.

I have a shortcut on my favorites bar on my PC to behind the scenes that will invoke the log in screen. So it's 2 clicks and I am in the announcements page.
