you have to advertise. if you sit nothing will happen. the search is sorted by sellers so your in the back. you should have kids room in your tags. you should have an avatar that's either your face, or a selfie done in the way you paint. you have a lot of images with printing issues. many may not print, if customers see that they may move on. the descriptions should be more about the piece rather than how else they can buy them. join more groups, contests, follow people, show up here in the forums. but mostly advertise yourself outside the site.

Review your tags. Breeds missing. Some not comma separated. Join some groups and contests. Find some Facebook goups.

I like this Rita!
It has very few keywords and no description except for the word turtle. Your images won't be found until those are fixed up. You're also not following anyone or favoriting anyone. Do you go out and look at others work and comment, like etc.?

Are you using social media that is within FAA I.e. Tweeting or Facebook? Those will at least bring bots in.
And, do as Mike suggested and research the forum discussions here for a wealth of info. Good luck!

Hello Mike,

you stated that I have a lot of printing issues, could you explain this a bit more, so I can fix it?

also don't mix photos with what you have already, the paintings are better and the photos are out of place. if you want to be known as a watercolor person, if a person lands on a photo and they don't like it, they will never see the rest of the site. your photos are snap shots. and they aren't really in focus. you should turn the close up on, people like to look at the quality.

rename the section Teacup animals or something like that. the description should mention the animal, that its a cup, its inside, why its inside. it's for google too. the limited amount of words you have don't have commas. mention what kind of frog, it's an amphibian, tea party, etc. be creative but be fitting. and scan this and others, the background shouldn't look multi colored.

change the bio so it talks about what you specialize in. i didn't vintage stuff on the site. and the wishy washy part about not knowing how to make descriptions - don't have that at all.
tell people you do watercolor, specializing in animals and designs for a child's room.

printing issues - if the image is soft, out of focus, crooked, unevenly sharp, blocky, noisy, vignetted, etc - they won't print it

Photography Prints
see how the background is uneven - should all be white and if you look up close it's not sharp, it's blurry and noisy. don't use a camera, use a scanner.

Sell Art Online
the background is uneven and one corner is really dark and rainbow like -it shouldn't be.

this might be the nature of the image, but the guy seems soft as does the puddle and i can see where the paper lifted at the bottom.

Rita, it's not just about marketing to sell, but networking here on FAA will get more visits to your works. I love your paintings! This one reminds me so much of my late departed Mollie, it actually made me tear up.

see if you can crop your face so it fits better in a square box, and brighten it a bit, do you have any where your looking right at the camera. averting your eyes doesn't make for a trust bond.

Rita, your abstract cat(s) seemed to have visitors over Sept/Oct., so you have some. Add as much in description as you can, more tags, use commas, visit other people's art and comment, comment, comment. This will begin the process and oh, as recommended do some advertising.....over your fb if you have one, etc., Good Luck, you have some fun pieces!

Hi Rita! I've been working 'every day in every way' to get viewers/buyers to my site since I joined FAA! That's on top of actually creating my art/paintings, taking new photographs, doing ALL the social promotion suggested by those above [and more!]...and having somewhat of a life! There are not enough hours in the day, as my mother used to say!
Re self-promotion & getting visitors/potential buyers to your site...here's some of what I've done so far:
created a fb following; posted Pinterest boards; hosted & entered scads of FAA contests [winning & placing]; commented on & liked/faved other member's work, as well as replied to those doing the same on mine; created a blog; posted topics in the community discussions & participated, too; entered the necessary keywords, plus good image descriptions; and, garnered numerous group features! Whew. And, STILL, I don't have very many views/visitors, at least compared to others. Followers are another thing. There are actually some members with over 5-million views, if you can believe it...as well as many others who sell well with only a few. Go figure. I scratch my head, sometimes.
So, just check out Abbie's links/advice and the other helpful hints shared above. Everybody's situation is different, as is their art/photography and the ability to promote/advertise. Give it time...and then give it MORE time! Patience & persistence are key...at least that's what I keep telling myself. Good luck!

Rita - I love your art - it made me smile! Awesome updated avatar! Following you now so excited to see what additional fun and lovely creations you share. Appears two of my favorites are no longer there? The Raggedy Ann and Andy and the man fishing with the crane and beautiful white trees...

You have great stuff. I you don't want to invest in a scanner there are tons of services who will do the scanning for you. I gather having your own scanner will pay for itself. There are some really great scanner, printer combos for very good prices. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ns=p_PRICE_2%7c0&ci=1152&setNs=p_PRICE_2%7c0&N=4077634572&srtclk=sort

Unless I missed it, I didn't see anything mentioned about sponsorship, This is important to improve on your FAA visitor visibility. It puts your image(s) in the search engine priority phase, Here is "how to" link http://1stangel.co.uk/fineartamerica/2011/12/28/sponsoring-pages/
