Can someone recommend a good, safe and free Virus Protection besides Avast. Thank you

avast? it always worked for me. it's practically a full program that's free.

Avast and AGV are two I will not touch, as they are highly recommended by techs that love the return business they get from them. I have used Rising for years and have done good.

Microsoft Security Essentials...if you run windows...been working on ours for years with no problem...lol I agree with Dan and I don't think Microsoft wants the repair work. I don't know Avast but AGV gave me a bunch of trouble and the paid ones like Norton and MacAfee weren't much better only harder to remove.

I agree with Val -- Microsoft Windows Essentials if you're running Windows. I replaced Avast with it a few years back. Small footprint, works great, no hassles.
