Faa Artists On Ello - Post Your Link

Some of us are on the new social network Ello https://ello.co

If you are on Ello please post your link so we all can connect. Please do not discuss Ello or request an invite, we still have a discussion for that: http://fineartamerica.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2121697

I start with my Ello-Page:

Is ello going to become anything of interest or importance? Who knows. I suppose we should all start following each other, or something like that, to generate some traffic for the search engines to notice.

@Jim: Following you... ;-)

I'm now following both of you but I don't even know how I accomplished it. I kept searching for a link saying "follow" - on your profile pages, below a post, somewhere - and never found it. But I found that if I click on "followers" I see I'm among them. Weird.

I like things clean and simple, even minimalistic, but ello may be leaning too far in that direction right now.

I just sent to join, but.....

I can easily right click on any image any of you post on ello.

I can then choose which program to read the picture into, or open in other words.
I chose Photoshop. The image came in as 20" x 16" roughly at 72 ppi.

It was the easiest way to get an image. Not one of the easiest ways, but the
very easiest.

I was looking forward to using ello, but now I am not so sure. Ello is
doing a huge service for anyone who wants a free copy of one of your pictures.

Get this, the first time I copied the image to the desktop,
and then I chose to open it into Photoshop.

The second time I tried this with a different user among you on this thread, Photoshop
opened automatically to take the image.

I do not at this time have an account at Ello. I have never had
an account at Ello. I have only asked for an invitation so far.

Count me out.

I just looked at my Flickr account images. I can right click, but
I can not....save image to....on any of my images.

Remember Ello is not geared to be an advertising site. That includes
your work not being commercially valued.

I love to see each of your works on Ello. The layout is supreme. But not for me.

I haven't used Ello, I briefly scrolled through it the other day. Regarding what David said, I never share photos directly to social networks, only the link to the photo in the gallery. If you upload a photo directly to Facebook, right in their TOS it says any picture you upload becomes public property. If you are capable of sharing links to Ello without sharing the high quality image, I'll look into it further.

Just checked in on Ello and uploaded a photo - and it looked terrible. I'd sized and sharpened it at 800 pixels across, but apparently Ello upsized it (!). So what are the specs for photos on Ello? Is everything forced to some fixed size?

I've just had a look and would be interested in joining (although I am not sure how good it will be from a marketing point of view), but only if small low res images will work...I can cope with 1000px at 72dpi, but any bigger seems a risk.
