I remember this happening a few times before. I'm sending support a note, but does anyone know why this is happening?
One of my pieces is for sale in another "artist's website" gallery and appears that you can actually order it. If ordered, do I get the sale? Or, would the sale go to this other person?

the site likes to cross link every single artist account and faa account with every discussion, sale etc. i think it helps spawn newish looking links.

Whoa...this doesn't seem to be the usual crossed links issue.. This IS actually available for sale... weird! Usually when clicking on the crossed links the actual art didn't appear in the other persons gallery.. this seems to be a whole new problem...?

i was looking up that other post and only faa came up, but 4 times, all under different artists. each person that replies, will get their own sort of stream from the forum. or in this case sales as well. i'm sure you still get the money for it, though be it confusing as it is.

Sooo... is this an error that needs to be corrected? And/Or anything to be concerned about?
Seems I remember this happening before, but I don't recall you being able to order the work. Can't remember what the deal was. Sent tech support a note too, but wondering if anyone else is seeing their own work showing up for sale in other's artist-websites?

It is a glitch in looks but, if anyone bought it then it goes through as normal.... a sale at your markup under your own account. You get the sale

Barry, please stop spreading rumours that are unfounded. If there was a breach I would be the first to tell everyone, with or without permission, as I have used my card here also so it would affect me too. There is no breach. Not on FAA

Yeah, kinda odd. Haven't got a support ticket reply yet... but maybe they're busy chasing bigger bugs. I can accept an occasional "glitch" in any system, but bank/financial institution sites and any site related to ecommerce... where you're basically trusting the system to function properly... well, let's just hope it's much ado about nothing.

Note. When I went into the Sarah Broadwater Meadows site and searched for Skip's title, it could not be found. Msg said Sarah hadn't uploaded anything with that title. That seems to indicate that no matter where it appears,Skip's image will get credited to his account. Or am I a bit too naive :O

No, that is correct. Any sale goes straight to him
Skip it is just a search adding on names.... It happens and I do not know why except your work (anyone's) can be found mixed ..
However as the sites are due shortly I think this will be fixed not to happen

Not so much the worrying type. If I were, I wouldn't casually stop off to take a snap of pretty clouds while riding a motorcycle into tornado country. ;)
When systems aren't behaving the way they're supposed to and it involves potential ecommerce, I'd like an explanation as to what happened so that my trust in the system can be restored.

Hi again,
I just got a reply to this the support ticket I sent 4 or 5 days ago from Abbie that says that it won't happen again and that she explained it in the forum so she wouldn't do so again in the support ticket. I didn't see that in the forum, did anyone else? Is it about the new artist sites or widgets or something? I looked through 5 pages of forum threads and don't see anything that explains what happened. Maybe I'm missing something.
At this point, all I know is that it was "a glitch" and that after the new upgrades go live, it likely won't happen again. Do you suppose that's the explanation she's referring to? I'm betting that's what she's talking about, but I'm not certain.

Not sure but at this rate it might be then next year when it all gets sorted out when the "new" AW is rolled out.

Hmmm... well, her note said it wouldn't happen again and that she already explained it in the forum. I just don't see where that is. I would guess it'd be right here in the thread that has to do with it, but I don't see any explanation here. Just that it's a glitch and nothing to worry about.
I replied to the support ticket, but she sounded so final in her proclamation. Not sure if she closed the ticket out or not. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. The last response took a few days, so I'm guessing it has something to do with the new sites or widgets or something.

seems to be the way of tings... So..you noticed a problem..you report it in the threads..they tell you to submit a ticket..you wait 5 day for a reply..and your reply completely fails to tackle the issue or tells you your answer has already been given in the threads.... yeah..
I personally gave up on tickets after a simil;ar experience.. first of all the replies would not deal with the issues raised (kinda fobbed off)..then my tickets were just ignored entirely.. some questions just refuse to be answered !
With all the changes happening to the site..maybe now is the time for faa to hire some customer service staff and a few more techies.. ? maybe not!
post ban edit: I hope you didn't swallow any of her BS skip....that's all she does these days is BS.... I've just been banned for 1 year for questioning her BS and her abilities as a customer service rep... don't question...don't think...just swallow!

Yes, 'she' did mean the glitch and yes, it did happen as one way the search showed up and yes, 'she' did mean that it will not do it again now as that has been sorted.
The matter has now been sorted and the erroneous searches will not show up again. Until I had heard back from Sean I could not answer as I needed to know it was fixed not to happen again.

Groovy. 'her' email said that 'she' had explained what had happened specifically in the forums and that 'she' wouldn't bother explaining it again in the email. However, 'he' has yet to see any such specific explanation.
That being said, 'he' is content with the issue and glad 'it' had been "sorted out."
So, thanks to 'her' for the reply and I hope 'she' has a delightful weekend.
