And from the bottom of my heart, I thank you, Abbie, and Marlene, Kelley, Donna, Val, Roseann and Richard! Though we've never met, I feel as though I've known all of you a lifetime; truly, our friends are our greatest asset.
Again, I am so humbled by so many of my long distance friends, and so grateful, as well, as I thank Phyllis and Natalie, Patricia and Melissa, Mo and MM for your blessings on my birthday.
Thanks, Lawrence. I find it very refreshing that you and I finally see eye-to-eye on more than just our artistic endeavors. I can honestly say I'm very glad I've gotten to really know you over the years since we first met, right here on FAA. I raise my glass to you, my friend, and offer a toast to many more years of our enduring friendship.
Thank you, Patrick! Here it is your birthday and you're giving me a gift!
I am also glad we've gotten to know each other better...and yes...it's much more refreshing than the old scent between us.
Salute, my friend...all the best to you...to many more, indeed! ;)
Let me close by saying this. I remember a comment that when I read it confused me. It was along the lines of digital paintings having this perfection that traditional paintings don't have. These minor flaws. And when I thought of this:
I really don't understand these flaws. I don't see any flaws. I see a painting executed with flawless lines, balance, color and light and shadow that I still struggle with. So, there it is. I've said it.
