Spiritual Beings Are Among Us...have You Seen Them?

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

I was out and about photographing the other day when I noticed two glowing spiritual beings. I managed to grab this one image before they simply unglowed and vanished. Have you had an experience like this? Were you lucky enough to photograph "them" or perhaps commit the glowing image to memory and then transform what you saw into a drawing or painting?

Then U R an unbeliever?
A few years back I was able to capture this image of a young angel. I wanted her to sign a model release but before I could talk to her, she fluttered up into the sky.

Really? We are now going to challenge people's religious beliefs where religion is not supposed to be allowed?

We can all experience this, Robert, when we keep in mind that we all have within us, a spark of the divine.....I don't think that spark is a neon glow, however.

Religion???
We are talking about spiritual beings....not religion which is an organized community with a set core of rules and regs.

Nope, we are talking about spirits...nothing at all about religion...Where did you get that idea?

A few years back, I was very ill (but of course I still had my camera in bed with me). I thought I might die and not go anywhere since I am not a religious person at all.
Just as I began to fade away, this spirit in the image of a young girl playing a guitar suddenly appear in front of my old eyes....

She (if she can be a spirit) began singing (while playing the spirit guitar)...."You are my sunshine, my only sunshine / You make me happy when skies are grey / You'll never know dear..."

OMG (Oh my Goodness)....the very same song my dear old mom would sing to me when I was sick as a child....

I tell you I came back from the dead....and just as I was cured....the spirit vanished but not before once again I managed with trembling hands to take one picture of her which I present here to all of you....

Jerry,
OMG (oh my goodness) That's happened to me also. My wife and I were at a Farmers Market buying stuff that rabbits eat but which my wife feeds to me.
We noticed a young lady selling cakes and sweets and other gooey delights...As my wife made the purchase, I snapped a picture of the young lady vendor....When I got home, I uploaded the image into my computer...

And this is what I saw!!! The only logical explanation is that I had photographed a "shapeshifter" with the ability to physically transform into another being or form.

If I can find the picture, I'll share it. Here's my unbelievable story. I took a picture of my neighbor waving to me from next door with a film camera about fourteen years ago. We were landscaping our yard and were given many rocks from a man who was blowing up the side of a mountain to put his driveway in. I have no idea if this was some of what caused what I'm about to tell you. Anyhow, we took a great many truck load of rocks. I made a staircase with my mate, and several rock walls, and three ponds with waterfalls in our yard. You can imagine the labor, but it was a labor of love and it should have put us both in the hospital. For some odd reason, I took a picture of a part of our landscape that I didn't like. It was our neighbor's fence...it was ugly. After processing the negatives, I noticed our neighbor waving to us from over the fence in one of the photos. I thought nothing of it. My husband, however, made the comment that our neighbor, an elderly woman, could not wave to us because there was a ten foot drop on her side of the fence. With this realization, I took the picture to my work where a great many microscopy instruments were located. We took it upon ourselves to inspect the picture closely and found under magnifying glass that the face and hand was just a tree with leaves shaped to create my neighbors face. My colleagues were not impressed and walked away from me shaking their heads except one, who put the picture under some more microscope technology and found to his surprise that the leaves were contorted beings that looked a little like Disney caricatures, maybe a little scarier. That coworker looked at me like I was pure genius and offered to burn my yard. And that is when I realized that sharing these types of pictures is going to bring on the contempt of your character.

Abandoned Church by Brian Wallace

An old abandoned church near Langford Estates on the Eastern Shore of Maryland

You could say I have an affinity for old abandoned structures. Thinking back on it now, I feel rather stupid, taking the chances I did, going through these decrepit places when they could have collapsed at any time or had wild animals taking refuge there. Many of these dilapidated structures ceased to exist shortly after I visited them to explore and take pictures.

At the time, my parents lived near this area. There was only one way in and one way out and you had to pass by this old abandoned church on every visit to my parent's house.

Next to this church, near Langford Bay Estates, were some modest headstones in a small neglected, cemetery. Not long after this image was taken, while traveling to my parent's home, I noticed the old structure had vanished.

Exploring the Church...

As I started walking across the floor of the old church, camera in hand, a window on the right side suddenly flew up of its own accord. Don't ask me why I didn't hightail it out of there pronto, but I'm convinced the vibrations I caused while walking triggered the window. When I looked on either side of the window, hanging inside the walls were ropes with counter-weights which at one time would have helped one to more easily raise the window up. Although an unexpected surprise, the experience proved to be a very interesting excursion into this old abandonment.

The original picture was taken with a Konica SLR film camera many years ago during the colder months. I breathed on the lens, aimed, and waited until just enough evaporation before snapping the shutter to obtain the foggy effect.

On an unrelated (I think) but also strange and unusual occurrence, I left my parent's home and was on my way back out to travel to my own home near Baltimore. It was warm weather and I had the windows of the car rolled down since it had no air conditioning. The Eastern Shore of Maryland is pretty much all country, made up of flat farmland. Traveling to and from my parent's residence consisted of roads between fields for much of the trip.

As I was traveling, and incidentally near the area of the old abandoned church, suddenly something from outside shot through the passenger side window. It hit the headrest and in the next instant there were green feathers floating about in my car. When I checked the back seat I found a small dead green bird!

Two things were very odd about this event...
One, the actual occurrence of a bird flying into an open window of the car while I was speeding down the back road.
Two, I had never seen a green bird on the Eastern Shore of MD my whole life growing up there!

For whatever reason, it seemed appropriate to call this event, an OMEN.

Brian, that story of the green bird is excellent. One thing for all truthful paranormal experiences is that they are without easy explanation. They happen, they are real, and they don't follow the status quo. Excellent print of "Abandoned Church" by Brian Wallace. It is haunting without a doubt! It deserves an award, and thanks for sharing a truthful experience, by the way. I also enjoy the hoaxes and fantasy pictures in this thread. They are all so amazing. I would be embarrassed to show my work with the masterpieces above.

Well, I'm loving this thread ... Not sure what to make of all of it, however. Clearly, some of us have deep spiritual beliefs here, and others are finding a bit of humor (I'm feeling both) ... But I have seen and felt "things" over the years ... in my younger years, they scared me ... and when they happen now, I simply feel as if it's a visit. I guess any company's better than no company ... However, I never thought to try and capture any of these "visits" on camera or on paper. I rarely feel comfortable even mentioning them.

I have a large, out of control cottage-garden (big weed bed) that I often sit in and hide from my neighbors. About a year a go, a see-through man casually walked across the back of the garden from the neighbor's yard, and on into the next. He did not acknowledge me, and I stared in both horror and amusement. After a few swigs of cheap wine, I told this story on FB, and instead of the anticipated "Sure you did, Stacey" comments I expected, I got a bunch of ... "I believe you, Stacey. I believe in ghosts ..." yadda yadda yadda. I was not seeking validation, nor did I care what they "believed" in. I don't know what or who he was; I was just mentioning it ... I guess I never expected to see a ghost or a spirit or guide or whatever, walking around in my yard on a sunny afternoon. Enough of my ramblings ... maybe I'll draw or paint him ... Because yes, I can remember him clear as a bell. And no, I did not think of him as spiritual in the sense of an angel, etc., he was just a spirt ... the See-Through Man.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Stacey, for contributing your "matter of fact" experience. I'm sure it's not too easy to share within the confines of many tongue-in-cheek and non-believers. I personally try to have an open mind but I also know of people who have "dabbled" in things that were over their head and got in too far.

Stacey Torres

I totally agree, Brian. I tried not to read anything into that experience, other than the fact that maybe it wasn't really "odd;" I just happened to be there at that time to witness it. Your bird story, for instance - would freak some people out ... for me, it would have made me thoughtful - and, of course, a bit sad.

I can't say I have really seen any spirits, but I seen a lot of orbs of light that appear at random times. I experience visions in the night seeing scenery mostly.

Stacey Torres

LOL - Well, you know ... sometimes it just ends up that way. My garden is my secret place, and I have tea there in the mornings; and wine - cheap or otherwise (otherwise is usually a gift from someone) ... But on that occasion with the see-through-guy, it was the first thing I could reach for.

One sad day about 3 years ago, my doctor, a beautiful Polish Lady, 47 years of age, died in my arms. I had an appointment with her. She walked into her office. I saw that she was dying of cancer (contracted about 5 years earlier). She asked me what she could do for me.

I looked at her and said, "what can I do for you"?

I motioned for her to come to me (we were very good friends). She got up and slowly came to me as I went to her as well. She fell into my arms, dug her fingers into my back and said over and over "I love you, I love you, I love you." I felt her spirit leave her body.

I said the same to her "I love you....." I knelt in front of her and kissed her hand. She said, "oh, what a romantic old world gesture." She was not American born.

One month later her physical body died and she was gone....

nope nope nope...I know they are there because of my beliefs but my mind couldn't handle seeing a ghost..those kinds of things I would relive every day..I don't 'freak' out about things but my imagination would never let it go and just about every painting would be about that experience. Wait, that would be considered freaking out I suppose.

I grew up living in these hundred-year-old spooky-looking mansions in the South.

They were too big to keep up as homes, but they made great funeral homes, with huge casket showrooms and even chapels.

While I saw many a dead person during those years, I never saw anything out of the ordinary, although I wasn't against it. It's just that nothing occurred.

Years later, however, when I bought an older Spanish style home in the Hollywood Hills, where the older residents had passed away, many of us had ghost-like experiences.

The former couple did NOT like strangers in their home.

I have this recurring nightmare of a ghost walking up stairs and in the ghost's hand is a long bloody butcher knife.
Then just the other day or so as I was driving (and taking photographs/I live on the edge of danger) from the corner of my eye, I spotted the man in my recurring nightmare. Sure enough as he ran up stairs he had a bloody butcher knife in his hand...

I had the good sense to snap a picture of this horrid scene. As I pulled away from the curb, I heard a woman screaming, screaming for help.

My first post on here only joined a little while ago, all this ghost and spirit talk reminded me of something that happened to me a couple of months ago. I wasn't feeling to well one evening and decided to sleep on the sofa downstairs instead of going upstairs to bed, I made myself comfortable and turned the TV off. About 10 seconds later there was a click and the TV came back on, no picture as such just a white screen (white noise I think they call it) that stayed on for 4 to 5 seconds before turning off again. Shook me up I must say but I finally got to sleep an hour later.

Strange my first post on this art site is about spirits :)

It's funny that you bring up the TV, Gary. I lived in an old run down type house about twenty years ago. I mostly ignored the TV that would turn on by itself and sound off white static screams, and then turn off by itself. I actually had two TV's that did this and gave them away because I thought they were somehow not working as they should. But there was more than the TV's going on and off because the lights would dim and then light back up, the message phone would leave static short messages, the battery operated toys would turn on for a second. One winter morning my husband was dressing our infant son for school and the toys in our son's room all moved for a second. My husband said, he grabbed our child and ran out of the house. I thought at the time that his reaction was terribly funny and tormented him with the possibility of demons. We sold that dump of a home shortly thereafter, and built a beautiful new home and nothing happens in new homes...hopefully.
Ricardo, I envy people like you who can stay so grounded in the material world.
