Group Thread Closed Down, Why?

A long thread in the group 'Gothic Romance' was closed down, not by me and apparently not by the administrator. Why does the FAA 'meddle' like this and p*** people off!

Martin. We did not go in and close it. When was the last message in it?

Group discussions seem to close automatically after a certain period of inactivity. I agree it can be frustrating.

yeah they do expire after a while. and it makes sense if the last post was many months ago.

It's not a popular thread then so they are automatically closed. There are numerous reasons this is implemented and if you wish threads to keep active please post in them.

Give me the link and I will reactivate it

I agree with management. If the discussion has not been activated for a month or more, end it. Once any wonderful and insightful discussion that I start is off the front page, I no longer add to it and consider it dead (most of the time).

Thank you Abbie for your help : )
@robert - I agree with what you say for a general discussion on the main board but this not one of those if thats what you think. This is a thread within a group where your own work occupies it and acts as a convenient one stop location for your artistic input in to that group only. It already has a number of images there that are steadily added to as time went by and was not forgotten.
