Pierce-arrow Motor Car Company

I had the honor of being at a Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company show in Newport RI on the ocean at Salvey Regina Unveristy! I am looking for a Pierce-Arrow Expert to help me name appropriately the year and models! It was a perfect day by the ocean and the lighting and views were great! Any help would be so much appreciated. In my research I know they were only created from 1900-1938 as far as I can tell. I am looking for an expert who shares a passion for Pierce-Arrow!
Sincerely Christine

I would go 1927-1928, although I am more towards '27.

Dear Drew and Dan,
Thank you both so much for your response!!! I sent a message to your emails. I appreciate anyone who had knowledge of these cars as I was lucky enough to be photographing the Newport RI cliff walk and honestly stumbled upon them! They are great collection of these old classic Pierce-Arrow Cars created in 1900-1938. A rare find! any help is so appreciated!!
Sincerely,
Smiles, Christine

Fabulous machine! I don't know how often you shoot cars, but I've found it handy to do one or all of these things when I'm at a car show -- big or small. If the owner is around, ask him or her about the car and jot down a note or two in reference to your shot # in the camera. If the owner isn't around and you want to do the car justice in your captions and descriptions, make it a point to get a shot that has the model name (I don't mean Ford; I mean like Fairlane or other specific nomenclature). Many models only slightly changed over the years, so grilles, head- and tail-light shots, etc. can also help experts identify the cars for you. I also peruse Google images and try to find the cars that most exactly match my shots. Don't use any one method exclusively, if you can avoid it. Of course, big car shows and juried Concours d'Elegance gatherings usually have event programs for sale that list the cars and their owners.

Good luck!

They were some beautiful automobiles.
Apparently Nicola Tesla owned one and converted into electric back in the 30's.

Based on what I've been able to dig up this is a '31 or '32 Model 54 Rumble Seat Coupe.

There is a very active Pace-Arrow club with a club website. If you email them you will get a response any they will identify your cars for you. I did this last year when they had a show at the Club I belong to. I got there late and the cars were there but the owners were all gong. Only people around where those that were loading the cars onto trucks to go to the next show.

If you get the same guy I got, he will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the cars... and whole bunch more! :-)
