Drying Time For Oils

How long should i wait before packaging to ship a oil painting ,,

Wait until it is completely dry. Depending on the conditions and the paints, it ranges from a week to a month for my paintings to dry completely. A lot depends on the climate where you live.

Once the varnish is set you can ship it.

 

Depends on where you live and the mediums. I don't use medium and live in New Mexico and can send mine as early as 4-6 days after I finish it,sometimes earlier

Oil painting takes at least two weeks to dry for me.

Thanks so much everyone ,,,Steven do you always varnish oil paintings ,,,(I am new to oils ) I live in the Okanagan a dry climate ...
