Autumn Landscapes Themed Image Thread

I will start things off.... I Iike this first image because I really think it just shows the beauty of fall colors, and the reflections add a nice touch.



This is one of my signature photos. I love the lush greens and the interest that the red leaves add to the photo.

Fall is my favorite time of year! Here are two of my favorite images of autumn.

Last fall I managed a brief trip into the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to see autumn colors, a rare treat for a Floridian. These are a couple of my images from that trip. The first is the vista from Gorges State Park and the second is a brittle, dry leaf I ran across that somehow inserted itself into a hole in an old branch along the path I was hiking.

Fall is my favorite time of year...

Oh, I can't wait until the colorful leaves start to show! Meanwhile, here is one piece (out of three) from last Autumn.

Without a doubt my favorite season of the year:

Out in the country we get some yellows but mostly browns here in Nebraska - the maples and other trees with the pretty reds and oranges are not native and are mostly to be seen in city parks or people's yards. But brown and gold and yellow can be pretty, too. Here's a trail in a recreation area in Omaha and a country field north of town.

Fall is my favorite time also, the only problem is the foliage part is too short and unpredictable. These are probably my two favorites of my fall images.

Watercolor Autumn Leaves

Just the cool autumn of the Appalachian Mountains in TN and NC - the color - and no other reasons - than to wander in the wonder of Fall.

Like everyone else here...I love fall!! I took these last year in our High Sierra Mountains. We typically get up there a few times a year, but this was the best fall color trip for me!
This is one of our favorite stops...Convict Lake.

And, this was from a great hike that we took along the John Muir Trail at McGee Creek.

I love looking at all of these! Great job everyone!
