"sponsoring" Images Not True?

Hi everyone. I'm new on FAA, so I'm trying to figure/test it out. I love the "sponsor this page" link, so I've added a lot of my images to other Web pages to be sure I'm seen in the 3rd row as FAA says. The thing is though, I left my PC on over the past two days, so apparently FAA automatically logged me out (which is fine).

So I went to one of my Google pages - a page where I posted a sponsored link. I clicked the link, which brought me to an FAA page with only the keyword "pastels". Some of my art is supposed to show on the 3rd row, but it was nowhere on the first page. (Hmmmmm......) So, I logged IN and went back and repeated the same thing (clicked link from one of my Google pages). THIS time my art showed up.
So now I'm thinking that when I sponsor a page, I am the only one that actually sees my images on the first page. Likewise, if you sponsor a page, you too, will be the only one seeing your images on the first page. That would mean that doing the extra work (of which is basically doing free advertising for FAA), our images are not "really" getting anymore exposure for doing so.

I'm sure not here to complain or start trouble, but this bothers me thinking that a site or company would take me for a fool. Am I? Or am I imagining? Can someone try this experiment and tell me what results you see? Thank you.

Now off to ENJOY the rest of my "Labor" day! ;-)

There are only three featured positions available per page. If multiple artists have posted links to the digital art page, then the three featured positions will be randomly filled with images from those artists. The images in the featured positions will change each time that the page is refreshed or visited by a new visitor.

I just took that from the sponsorship popup under 'additional information' where you got the link and put yours

You def see it logged in so you know it has taken

How many thousands of folks have sponsored that same term?

Diane,
Your images will show up always when you are logged in, so that you know the link is working. But if you're not logged in then all the people that are sponsoring the same terms will randomly show.

You can do page refreshes to get a feel of you odds at being seen, but if you can see your images where your logged in than eventually you'll be on the first page of the general search.

sponsor words will rotate people through if its a common word. you'll see your things if your logged in. if someone comes in from google - sponsor stuff will never show. it's only a foot in the door and maybe not even that. you would be better off directing people directly to your store instead of the search engine.
