Selective Color - Themed Images

That Chicago theater sign sure gets around a lot. Seems to be as popular as the Hollywood sign.

He was my guru when I purchased Photoshop 2. I still refer to his book once in awhile, but now the internet is full of great videos.

What I like about the program is that there is always more to learn.

That's an interesting comparison, Patrick, and I like the use of selective color.

Here's one I like by Meirion Matthias whose description reads: A rambler in a bright red waterproof coat stands and takes in the view on the shores of Bala Lake, North Wales, UK.

Edward, don't know what it is about tractors, but they sure seem to sell well.

Rudy, what a beautiful structure! I had to search to learn more about the temple: The Bahá'í House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois, is the oldest surviving Bahá'í House of Worship in the world, and the only one in the United States.

Thanks for the response to my images Chuck. The first one of the grayscale OOF image with the boy holding the fishing pole into the other image in color was kind of a suggestion from another FAA member some time ago. It wasn't my own preference but until you try it, you don't always know exactly how the result will be.

That's what I love about working on images, Brian. So many different things you may do with them.

Rudy, if I ever go up to that part of the country, I will surely put the temple on my list of things to see. It's marvelous craftsmanship.

Yellow makes a cool selective color choice, Shelby.

Here are a few other choices in this piece by Yhun Suarez.

You have to look closely to see the blue in the clouds in this one, but the color is there.
