FAA has the option of selling originals. Always has.

I have sold many paintings and also have been afforded many commission opportunities through this site. You just have to add size and price and it will be listed alongside the POD options. The customer will contact you. It is up to you to package and ship your original as FAA doesn't handle that for you.

I only accept paypal for payment and every sale through FAA has gone very smoothly.

I ditto Michelle except I don't put prices since I want the client to contact me , it's an initial in to establish a relationship to make a sale

If you are selling to people in your own country it has the least risk. If you are selling from India to USA there could be lots of problems, like taxes, postage cost and if the delicate art will get to its destination in one piece. My own efforts are for sale in the UK only, using web sites which are specifically set up for dealing with originals.

Thank you all for your quick response. I have noticed that feature and do give size of my original paintings. However I felt that this site is more focused on POD and hence visitors would not notice that.

But as you all say so, I should be positive about that feature now onwards! :)

Also, If anyone knows a better place to sell originals, please do share.

I have heard a lot about Saatchi art and Etsy but still not sure I should opt for it or not.

I agree with Martin on the issue about selling to other countries. That is one of the reasons why I was looking for some common platform across the globe.

Thank you for sharing guys :)

I have sent paintings to Australia and Canada with no issues. Just make sure you don't short yourself on shipping charges.

I pay my bills by selling originals...I am easily found on faa.
I post my prices because I don't want to waste anyone's time if an interested party thinks my work sells for far less than it does.

@Michelle: That is great to know. Ya we need to consider shipping cost while pricing. How do you manage the tax rules for different countries?

@Marlene: Sounds cool. You have a great portfolio. Considering the pricing part, here is the tricky part for me: I cannot keep the same price for my local buyers in India and people for other countries. Seems need to find a mid way !!!
