You bet Kevin ,Good news needed here more often :)
Thanks Mary, glad you still love your piece and you have been very supportive of me :) , I bet your hair looks cute short and I bet it's less maintenance :) I have long long hair, because my mom used to cut it like a boy when I was young and I got tired of people thinking I was a boy but sometimes I wish I could cut it short but don't have the guts.
Here is a nice letter The man wrote me who bought the painting. I blocked out their names for their privacy:
Hi Leah,
Nice to meet you too! We are so happy that **** discovered you and that you guys were able to reach an agreement to work together on his next record. For him, the album cover seems to be the most difficult part of the these projects. He says it is very hard to find something that fits. He is very excited to have found The Contortionist…and so are we! We can’t wait to display it in our home. It is so striking. It just pulls my eyes toward it. I can’t not look at it. It’s magnetic! When **** first showed it to us it was on Google images in the midst of hundreds of other images. It just jumped off the screen in focus while all the other images became blurred out. We’ve got the perfect spot for it, and it will always be so meaningful for us, given its relationship with ****’s music. Thanks so much for agreeing to sell it!!
So, we’ll be looking for the tracking number. I’ll shoot you an email when the painting arrives so you know it made it. I'd also like to get some input from you regarding the type of frame you think would look best…and how to frame it…e.g., glass or no glass, etc., etc. We work with a great frame shop in New Orleans where we just got a Clementine Hunter framed without glass and it looks great. It is oil on a stretched canvas over composite board. Very thin. Of course, she passed away a long time ago and couldn’t help us with the frame! But anyway, I’m sure you have some thoughts on this relative to your work. We’d sincerely appreciate your advice.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
****
