What's The Best Approach To Getting A Photography Release?

Any street photographers know of a good way to approach for a photo release?

If you do a digital file exchange for the release what's a good sized file to give in exchange for the release?

Street photographers do not get model releases....If you shoot someone in the public domain, no release is needed.

As Robert said.

Wow on your portfolio! It's worth a look.

A digital file as payment for a model release would be web size - 72 dpi. Unless you are offering portfolio shots in exchange for modeling services.

Fine art does not require a release. Only commercial usage (stock). Dogs and other pets would need a property release for commercial usage.

James,

It's great you're being proactive in seeking model releases. Fine Art America's Terms of Use have been updated to reflect them.

Model Releases:
You agree to provide valid and accurate model releases for all Images You contribute to Fine Art America that require said releases. You agree that You are solely responsible for retaining all original model releases and maintaining complete and accurate model release records. Model releases are to be electronically delivered to Fine Art America with the Images. The submission of falsified, inaccurate or otherwise defective model releases is a material breach of these terms and conditions of use and can result in the immediate termination of Your account without notice. You agree that Fine Art America may furnish redacted model releases to customers, in order to respond to any potential or actual legal action or comply with applicable laws, regulations, and/or union reporting requirements.

" You agree to provide valid and accurate model releases for all Images You contribute to Fine Art America that require said releases."

Unfortunately, without a definition of what constitutes an image that requires a release that sentence is meaningless. It is wide open to multiple interpretations.

Toy...
Thanks. I was thinking the very same thing.
Unless of course FAA is now selling our images for ads without telling us.
