Given that it's not sharp at all I say lose the boat.

I agree with Joshua but I sure like its placement. You don't have anything else just a bit bigger and more clearly a boat that you could substitute?

Normally I'd say keep it, but it doesn't look good when zoomed in. I can see your conundrum.

I say keep the boat. It gives the photo, although a really good capture, an interesting detail that draws the eye. Instead of another pleasing photo, it becomes a interesting photo as well! Questions pop up like who's in the boat, where are they from, what are they doing out on the lake. Questions that make one pause a moment.

Great color and composition!

I say no boat. It is too small and dark and creates a meaningless focal point. The gorgeous sky stands on its own enough to make this beautiful.

I agree with those that say, remove the boat. I love the piece, but using the close preview, the boat looks like a black blob.

Yes...it does look like a burn on the image...think I'll take it out...thanks all!

I echo the others. I agree that the boat can possibly add to the composition, however, due to no detail on the boat, I am afraid I agree with Arlene that it looks like a black blob when viewed at closeup.

I agree that the boat should go. But there are two other things which bother me about the image. First, the yellow sky is blown out and lacks detail in many areas. Also, there's a border-ish thing going on, particularly in the top and right side of the sky.

it's so small in there, i'd lose the boat, almost looks like dirt. if that was a sail boat and it caught the light, then i would keep it in.

Michelle.. maybe use this image to practice your compositing skills by replacing that boat with another more interesting one.

Love the piece but the boat should go. I find it distracting, but then again I get distracted easily.....LOOK there's a squirrel! Seriously, I really do love the piece.

I guess I'm weird. I like it.

I say have two images, one with the boat and another without..

Great idea Judy! Thanks for all the great advice!
