Clouds?

A plane probly flew through the clouds below.

That would be those lines on the map - that separates the states.

It looks like the shadow of a contrail.

Um ... not seeing anything but clouds

chemtrails don't exist, your probably seeing the contrail with some smog mixed in. combined with lighting, it became a shadow? either that, or it's a runway for aliens.

did you regress and turn back into an egg?

I like the eggs better than the open mouth :-O

The problem is that it looks to be very long and very straight. There is usually some turbulence that would make that long straight line improbable,, but not impossible. Although high altitude contrails can be fairly straight... and if this line is a shadow that that is what it probably is....

Very interesting information. After viewing April's link I would think it is a contrail. Very interesting to read up on those!
As for my avatar, I am still deciding whether I want to reveal my age or face on my profile. Very torn so I keep trying new thins :)

eggs aren't memorable. you can do a alfred hitchcock type silhouette. you can wear sunglasses, or an amish beard for that older look. you could even sport a curly mustache, that's all the rage these days. though you may look like me.

It could be a front lint. When two fronts meat they often form a line if there is enough clouds to do that.

its one of those dark lasers we a probably hearing about. or perhaps this is one of those rare flying highways.

I'm leaning towards anti-contrail... just like a regular contrail except the opposite.
