What Is Faa Etiquette For "comments", "likes", "favorites", And "featured" ...

Hi ~
We are newbies and I wanted to know what is expected or good manners,
and what would be considered spam or not wanted in regards to when:

a work is "featured",
a work is tagged a "like",
a work is tagged a "favorite",
and when a work gets a "comment".

Is it considered good manners or spamming to reply?
to any, to all, or to none of these?

Thanks you! Bob~

I'm not sure I'm understanding you Bob. In which sense a work is tagged a like or tagged a favorite? If a work is featured, you can add a comment to it and thank the host. I do it, never had one problem in years. You can reply to comments (that's polite, I'd say). I'm not sure about the rest though

If you like it, "like" it.
If you have something to say about it, "comment".
If it's one of your favorites, "favorite" it.
And if you're a group admin and feel it exemplifies what your group is about, "feature" it.
If you're featured, say thank you.

It's not spamming to reply, and I think it's good manners if you have the time, even though most commenters never come back to see if you did or not.

Just don't post links to your artwork in the comment section of someone else's work. That's spamming. And tacky.

you can't post links in the comments on someone else's work. You can't post links in the comments of your own artwork either (try it with me, see if you manage to see an active link). So that never happens :)

I never reply. Your own comments do not add anything to the search and it is way to time consuming. Most people probably would rather you went to one of their pieces and returned the like, fav, comment then to thank them with a direct reply.

Personally I don't think that it best utilization of you time to do any above. I do a little of it but only when I have had occasions to go to that persons images to begin with.

You would be much better off spending you time advertising you own work outside of FAA. Not many members but from other members.

Same thing with groups and contests.

Sorry, not links, I mean the copy/paste comments that say, "Nice work. Please come visit my profile and comment on/like/favorite such and such..."
